This is one of my favorite places to visit on Lake Erie. I love the beautiful Lighthouse overlooking the Waters of Lake Erie. Lots of parking, picnic tables fishing, and the Old house of the Lighthouse keepers.Daily tours in the summer months. A must see for anyone visiting Marblehead.

One of the best lighthouses. Staff is super friendly and funny. Would like to find the off season times so to photograph it better without other to tourists. I am sure the staff can help with that. I will be back for season's changes.

This is a pristine area of beauty. The only disappointment was that the lighthouse and the museum were closed because of the time of year. They have large binocular devices to view the islands and surrounding lake. It was worth the stop to take in the sights and stretch our legs.

Built in 1821, this is the oldest working lighthouse on the Great Lakes. In addition to being pristine, pretty and recently renovated. The entire park in which it is located is quiet and pleasant with beautiful views on Eire. I am told by locals that when you climb the 77 steps to the top, the views are spectacular. It was closed when I visited, but I think it’s open on weekends. There is also a small museum in an adjacent house, but it’s closed for the season.

If you are planning to visit Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky take a short drive over to Marblehead Lighthouse. It has a beautiful view of the lake. You can see Cedar Point in the distance and Kelly's Island too. If traveling with little Kids make sure you keep a close eye on them being that you are right on the water there and most can't help but to walk on the massive rocks on the shore line there. GREAT Photo Spot especially for Selfie's!!!! It will make your trip to Lake Erie very memorable.

The little community itself is enchanting with its narrow streets, specialty shops, lots of bicycle riders. Living near-by as a child, we visited the lighthouse many times. Returning as an adult, I found I appreciated the lighthouse even more and could sit there listening to the waves coming in all day in this quiet, picturesque location. Walking the rocks on the shoreline was just as enjoyable as it was when my brothers and I visited with our parents years ago. I hope this lighthouse remains well-preserved and future generations can enjoy it as my family and I have. If you visit northern Ohio, the Lake Erie area has much more to offer other than Cedar Point. If you, like myself prefer the quiet, serene places and you too love history then you must visit the lighthouses of Lake Erie. The Marblehead Lighthouse is one of my favorites.

Our family held there wedding at the light house, and it was awsome... Everyone had a good time it was very pretty.. People visiting the site stood around and watched.. I recommend this site. I know it cost to go up in the light house.

If you are in the area this is a must on your list of things to do. The lighthouse is a beautiful structure and the surrounding scenery just adds to it. Perfect place for a family picnic. Sunrise is the best time for capturing the best pictures!

If you can get on a tour of the grounds and lighthouse, don't pass it up. When the children were young, they would spend hours looking for fossils and jumping around the shore, even though we were staying down the road at Lakeside and had lakefront there too. Maintained well but can get busy on the weekends. Look for the overflow parking lot.
