This is a poor way to run a business. I used the Island Breeze Cruise website and trip advisor to find out the two numbers for the owner (I will leave out the name to keep this focused on the company). My B&B owner said he was not going to cruise tonight because the water was too choppy. The water was as calm from 2pm on as bathtub water on Lake Erie. if you don't want to cruise, or you just don't have enough tickets, say so. Don't say it is too choppy when anyone can see that it is not. The owner did not call me back, but did text me to say no cruise tonight. His boat was parked at the dock. I can't help but think he had either not sold enough tickets or just didn't want to work tonight. Either is okay - just say so.

This boat is owned by a husband & wife who started offering these crusies around the island this season. They offer 2 crusies, one around 4:00 and the other at 7:30. It' $20/person and they allow you to bring your own beverages and snacks. We also brought along our 4 year old and she was free. We were the only three people on the boat, on a beautiful, clear, 80 degree friday evening. Why this boat isn't packed every evening is beyond me. We sailed for 2 hours. The sunset over put in bay was beautiful. Normally they crusie the perimeter of the island, but we went out past put in bay to view the tall ship that was in port for the weekend, the Niagara. It was a relaxing & smooth ride, great way to spend a friday evening. If you don't have your own boat when visiting the island, check out this crusie. They are docked at the portside marina, behind Dockers restaurant. If they are back next season, we will be back too for another relaxing 2 hour cruise around the island.
