They no longer allow you to feed the ducks/geese at the pond. The village is more interested in keeping the water fowl off the football field than encouraging tourism.

This is not a large pond, and most folks would probably not consider it worth a special trip. But if you're passing through, it's very near the two main arteries through town and it's a pleasant thing to see, especially for the swans (occasionally), ducks (most of the time) and Canada geese (all of the time). The pond is part of Cold Creek, which never freezes, so in winter it's especially fun because so many birds stay there all winter. When the snow is deep all around town, the photo op is irresistible, with the geese and the water in contrast to bright white. Feeding the wildlife is no longer allowed because the birds became too dependent upon humans for food. Best photo location: from the south end of the pond on the residential road there (there's a pull off), facing north.

The ducks at the pond are the main attraction, such inexpensive fun for children. Not sure they do anymore but it used to be the small grocery downtown would sell bags of shucked corn that the children could feed to the ducks, what a fun place to visit

Not worth wasting your money to go here. There's nothing here but the pond.

Little kids love to come here to feed the ducks, but as I've aged I don't feel the draw as much. Good memory spot. Grain feeders available.
