I live nearby so I may be biased but I really like this place. The hiking trail is a 2 mile loop with a "shortcut" down the middle. From the parking lot it doesn't matter which way you go, you'll be going uphill. It gets sort of steep in spots. But the view from the top is amazing. The middle trail takes you by the old homestead and I can see why someone would want to live there. They've added a shelter house at the first parking lot for picnics and such. Another is at the second parking lot, which is closer to the dock and the children's play area. Speaking of, the play area just got a big facelift in the past year. It's a great area for the littler ones. Or enjoy yourself on the docks. Fishing permitted if you are a child or Senior. At least it used to be, my youngest is in college now so it's been awhile since I checked on fishing. On an unconnected piece of property is the mountainbike trail. This one is more technical and climbing than most MTB trails in the area. No real fast and flowy sections, but it's what the available land has to offer. I like it a lot. It's not the biggest of parks but it's a very good one. Get out and enjoy.

This is one of the few parks around that have a wheelchair accessible fishing dock. This is a huge help to our family. the paths to the dock are paved, so it makes for an easy bumpless ride. The park rangers are all very friendly as well as well informed. Our kids enjoy learning something new from the rangers each time we come for a visit.

Has been one of favorite places to walk in the Columbus; there is a lot of climbing to get to the top of the hill but you will find some good views

Great mountain biking but very little else to do. Trails are always groomed but never over crowded. A couple of good scenery views here and there as well.

Nice walking path, well maintained, just enough for walkers and children. The outer loop is 2 miles and is more strenuous if hiking right (turn) from the parking lots.

Park includes only a couple of walking loops, but nice diversity; old homestead, great views, several ups and downs. Diverse habitats make it a great place to look for wildflowers and birds. Park has a small wetland, fishing pond, picnic area. Not as heavily visited as larger parks so good for a Sunday hike.

Wonderful diversity of plant life; parts of the trail very challenging; I feel the atmosphere here is very healing and serene. There is a look-out spot on the trail where you can see the Columbus skyline (Fall and Winter). Sometimes the Naturalist will lead a moonlight hike. That's a really neat experience!
