By far one of the most under-rated spots in Cleveland. Just 20 min. from down town in Bay (where I live) - this is one of my family's favorite spots to go. It's not huge, but offers a lot of interesting things to see and do. My daughter loves going here and seeing all the animals. (she loves the turtles and personally, my favorite is the Bald Eagle. It's free, but they appreciate donations (really helps them and helps the animals).

I enjoyed seeing and learning about the local wildlife. It is a great place for children. The live animal displays, especially the snakes, are interesting.

Didn't know this was here but followed the signs from Lakeside and there it was. The facilities looked well maintained and the exhibits were interesting. Looks like a good place for kids but enjoyable for all ages.

My children and I stumbled upon this little nature center and had an unexpected ball. There was a hollowed log for the kids to crawl through and animals outside to peer at depending on the time you visit. Outside also has some walking trails and climbing opportunities. Call for activity schedules.

What a transformation since my early days at "Bay Science Center"! Innovative programs, fantastic staff and several great animal exhibits both indoors and outdoors create an educational, hands-on experience for kiddos and adults alike. Well worth the visit - and FREE!

Just a neat little center that has several different types of experiences for kids to get acquainted with nature. Our grandson just enjoyed being that close to animals. Does not take a lot of time to see but worth the visit.

Under appreciated, a gem of the western bedroom community. Nice surroundings, near the beach, nice programming and a brilliant facility.

Several great animal exhibits, both indoor & out. Educational, fun & free!! Didn't get a chance to visit their planetarium, though.

I have always enjoyed taking my children here when they were little. It's free, clean and the kids always enjoyed it. I had recently read an article that the planetarium has been totally renovated and upgraded with modern equipment. My hubby and I went to a planetarium program on a Thursday evening focusing on solar and lunar eclipses. The planetarium was so nice and new. Tall back comfy chairs. If you have any neck problems at all you will want to bring a neck roll or some type of neck pillow/support. Very informative, inexpensive($5.00 per person) and something different to do. Each month the program changes, so check out the website. I just searched Lake Erie nature center. Oh, after the program they set up telescopes out in a field focused on Saturn, pretty cool to see those rings so clearly.

Not sure where to take your little ones? Try this place out. They have many common birds and animals outside that the kids can see close up. Then they have more small animals and fish inside. Best part is it is FREE!. They have an area for the kids to read books or do puzzles. Have a small little puppet stage for the kids to play with. They have a gift shop. And, the other great thing is they have a Planetarium that has different shows for different age groups of kids that cost only a few dollars. You can even bring your lunch and there are picnic tables all around. You can also walk down to Huntington Beach from here. Loved it!

I stopped here with my two young sons. They both loved it. Lots of animals to look at such as an eagle, raccoon, skunk, etc. Fish and reptile exhibit in the building.

Great place for family to spend some time looking at the natural exhibits. Planetarium Program costs extra but the museum and grounds are free. The grounds have many rescued animals that are viewable. Part of the Huntington Reservation and across the street from the beach. Great for kids of all ages, especially for free!
