Concerts in the park, trails for walking and biking. Great spot to watch the sunset. Very entertaining watching the boats being launched, some successful, some fun to watch. Great spot to people watch. Offers a fishing pier .

Nice park with boat launch. This is one of the typical locations where large outdoor events are held in Avon Lake. 4th of July Fireworks are also here every year.

A good place for those with children with play equipment available, picnics with adequate table, grills, and a pavilion, and also quiet space. A pier for fishing, and a boat launch for boaters or entertainment....watching the novices launch is always good for a laugh or two. There are also walking trails through the park and plenty of benches. There are vending machines for snacks and drinks, but a Dairy Queen just two blocks away. We visit this park many times every month in good weather and occasionally in the fall and spring when it is warmer.

Only about a mile from where I work, I often walk here over lunch to relax at one of the many benches overlooking Lake Erie or a walk out onto the fishing pier. While the park is relativity small, it is packed with worthwhile facilities. Besides the benches and fishing pier, the Avon Lake boat launch is located here. Open from sometime in March or April, depending upon weather and channel dredging, till the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, use of the modern launch is only $5 and there is ample parking for trailers and their tow vehicles. The building housing the office for the boat launch also sells bait and has vending and restrooms. As one approaches the fishing pier there is access to a small sandy beach that stretches between the fishing pier and the nearby power plant. The beach is not the best for swimming due to rocks just off shore, a tendency for strong currents and no lifeguard but I still enjoy walking along it. On the eastern end of the park is a shady area with a playground, gazebo and a large picnic area with, a pavilion, tables and grills, and more parking. This is a very nice park offering public access to Lake Erie; too bad the beach was not a little better.
