We were expecting a winery but this was just a store front (very small) with a bar (I don't even think there were stools)..... We walked in and out. Nothing special at all. In fairness, Im not sure if they actually have a winery elsewhere but if this is what your looking for, this is not the place to get it

This winery is well named-it does have a grand view. Wines are wonderful. They are fruit wines but outstanding. The Elderberry can stand up to a grape red in my opinion. Blackberry is on the sweeter side but still a very nice wine. The young man (I am horrible with names) that was there was outstanding-tolerating our small group that had big attitudes! Wines were good enough that we went back the next day and bought more. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I enjoy going to wineries and trying different wines. It is $2 and you taste six wines. Other wineries I've been to give free samples up to say five different kinds. The samples were ver small but good. The person handing out the samples did not seem happy to be there and was emotionless as another reviewer said. The place is very small and looks thrown together. It was not a good experience. I drove to the area specifically to go to the winery; it was a complete waste of my time.

My husband and I love checking out local wineries when we travel so we were excited to go to Grand View. The experience was disappointing, at best. Not only were we disappointed in the quality of wine, but in the tasting experience, as well. The woman who did our tasting seemed bored and was very rehearsed. We caught the end of the tasting before us and she repeated the same words in the same exact monotone each time. There was no conversation, no information about the winery or the wines, and no real emotion or connection there.

It was $2 for the wine tasting. I wasn't a huge fan of the wine, but it was a good experience. I ended up buying a bottle of wine. The store was very small. The view from the parking lot was beautiful.

A small winery located in a beautiful setting. We tasted 6 wines - all delicious and some very unusual - bought a case to bring home to enjoy. You can't beat the scenery.

We stopped as we saw the wine tasting sign. It's $2 a person and they explain each wine and the foods that go with it. I wish we had a stool to sit on but we ended up making a purchase.

Staff was very pleasant and willing to take the time and talk about the wines. There was a nominal fee of only $2, but it was well worth it to try the various wines.

Our B&B recommended Grand View Winery and I am so glad we stopped. The tasting room is inside Cold Hollow Cider Mill (just down the street from Ben & Jerrys). I don't usually think of Vermont for wine but these were really tasty. We were able to taste 6 wines and the woman running the tasting was really knowledgeable. She had some great suggestions for food and wine pairing. I liked the Pear Wine best and my husband loved the Hard Cider. We also ended up buying several bottles of Cranberry to serve at Thanksgiving and give as hostess gifts. The best part is they shipped our case directly to our house so we didn't have to lug it home.I highly recommend Grand View for anyone looking for something to do in the Stowe area. Next time we are in Vermont I want to visit the actual winery where they give tours.
