Allenholn farm is a definite must stop when in South Hero. 1. You can bike there from the Burlington Bike Trail 2. If you don't have bikes you can rent them there. 3. Fergie is there. (Fergie is a Scottish Highland Cow who likes eating ice cream cones). 4. You can feed all of the animals and pet them. 5. The maple creamies are the best in the world.

We always love going here to pick apples, ride the wagon to the orchard, pet and feed the animals, and even get maple creemies and/or other apple baked goods!! The prices are awsome - and Ray Allen is fun. It's a real vermont experience and its not crazy like those Burlington area orchards where everone else seams to go; we drive up from South Burlington just for the fun - why pick apples in your backyard when you can have a beautiful drive up to the islands and have a spectacular afternoon picking apples and petting animals anyway - right?If you do go - make sure you see if Ray will feed his donkey a peppermint right out of his mouth - its fun to watch!!
