green mountain rock climbing center

Friendly and welcoming to novices, kids, and experienced climbers. Willing to bring those with rusty skills back into the fold. I recently took an 8 year old to the center. Staff gave me a short refresher on belaying, and off we went. My little climber spent almost two hours there, and made it to the top of the 30 foot walls 10 times.

I've been here 4-5 times since I moved to Vermont and it has been different everytime. The only consistent is the very friendly and helpful staff (not condecending AT ALL for fellas in this line of work). On the right day, you can walk right up to one of the ropes and tie in, no waiting at all for anything. It doesn't matter how old you are for this place, or heavy, as there are anchors for belayers and levels of difficulty for beginners and experts alike. Sometimes there seem to be too many options, but you can always find something for your own skill level. And with a good price, it makes for great impromptu dates and for adventures with my friends. I am a huge fan

Great, friendly, open atmosphere. The owner, Steve is beyond words. Committed to his community and his clients. Staff is very very knowledgable and goes out of their way to make your experience one you will remember!!!! Love it here.

This is a great place to bring the family. The atmosphere is casual and happy. They offer many different climbing opportunities for all ages and abilities. The owner is a throwback hippy with a ton of military and emergency medical experience. He is a great guy to talk to and his passion for climbing is evident. His staff is very friendly and gets everyone trained quickly and efficiently. They offer equipment to rent and also cater to parties. If you are in town and are rained out of your activity, I highly recommend you check the Rock Climbing Center out! Otherwise, you will find a bunch of locals...all ages...having a great time.

Nice place, you can rent equipment and take a lesson on rock climbing. They have an area for younger kids to climb, lots of different walls for different levels of climbers. You can also rent out the building for parties or group events. They have a upper level for parties so you can have food or cake or whatever fits your event.
