We went in to kill some time in the afternoon. We were able to go and view the brewing area from the observation window. After reading a little about the process and the short history of the location, we sat down for a tasting. The flight offerings were 4 and 8 beers. The tasting room hostess was very nice and accommodating. My wife did a 4 flight offering of the lighter beers, my son did a 4 flight mixed offering of lighter and heavier beers and I did 4 flight offering of the heavier beers only. No one was disappointed. The hostess brought out a reserve for us to try that was very nice. Ended up buying three bottles. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Fun place to sit and taste. Knowledgable staff, festive atmosphere. Fun shop. Good beer. Big window into brewing area.

They have several very nice beers and a very nice tasting bar. We always visit, once a year, to refill our growler. This year, we shared a flight of eight different beers. It was quite a pleasant experience. The hostesses are very knowledgeable about the beer.

great visit as usual. always interesting and delicious beers. very knowledgable server and you can get a four or eight beer sampler.

They have a tour at no cost. They have some great beer that you can get samples of or just order it by the glass. This is a microbrew and they have a small shop that you can get local crafts from as well.

Being a beer novice, I was so appreciative that one of the owners allowed me to taste some of the beer before deciding on a purchase. Great variety of local beer, brewed right on premises. May take them up on a larger taste test (that costs money) sometime in the future!

As with many such breweries, their license permits tasting of four beers only. The hostess/server was very knowledgeable and explained details about each beer. Sadly we didn't happen to find anything that appealed especially to our palate.

We decided to do the Vermont Beer Tour, and this was one of our stops. As far as tastings, they were way expensive compared to the other breweries. But the beer was very good. They indicated they had to charge for their small samples like it was a law (not the case re Magic Hat). I would recommend they take the sample price off the purchase like the wineries in Napa.

Stopped by on a brewery tour and wasn't thrilled. they had a few pretty good beers but they want almost 10 bucks for a 22oz bomber. All set, Staff was iffy at best. If your in the area its worth a taste but i wouldn't go out of your way. You get to pick 4 beers to taste, even when I asked for help choosing beers it was like pulling teeth. Didn't bother with tour.

Awful experience. Spent weekend in Stowe, VT with my fiancee and as we were driving back from Cabot stopped in for tour and tasting. Was totally ignored by the female owner for at least 15 minutes while she chatted to another customer about children and her being a hunting widow. When she finally tended to us, she didn't even offer a tasting for each of us (she said we'd have to share). Beer was nothing to write home about and the self guided tour was laughable since there was nothing going on in the brewery. I would never return.

We went on a self guided beer tour yesterday and it was disappointing to say the least. We started out at The Alchemist where they were out of beer, yes, out of beer. A fellow beer tour friend said it was like going to a restaurant and them having no food...Then the second stop was Rock Art. The staff was so lame and almost made it a point to try to NOT talk to us. We were the only ones there. They were obviously not vested in this and only wanted their day to end so they could make their $9 per hour. Then we went to Hill Farmstead. They need to figure that out. It was a 20 foot line that took 2 hours to wait in to get your growlers filled. HUH?We just came back from Colorado where we visited Oskar Blues and New Belgium. These places were fun, the people engaging and they were proud of there beer and wanted to share it with us and talk to us about it all day long if we had wanted to.Boo so far to my home state of Vermont.

They stop tasting at 5:30, so when we showed up at 5:35pm we were turned away however we could "shop" till 6pm. Not a great way to handle visitors who travelled over an hour to get there.

We are not really ones that consume many different types of beer or wine, but, we loved testing 4 of their best beers for only $4.40. They were all so different and hubby and I chose different ones which surprised me. We came home with a bottle of each of our favorites! The hostess. whom I believe is the wife of the owner brewer, was extremely friendly and very helpful. We will look for this beer at our local places and purchase more.

Always fun to stop here and split a tasting with my husband. At $4.40 for 4 tastings about 2-3 oz each it is a delightful way to taste new brews and while away a bit of time. We buy 22 oz bottles to bring home and enjoy later and they age well too!

I basically went to kill some time and wound up taking some beer home to share with family, I am more of a wine gal, but now I actually have to admit, I've probably just been drinking the wrong beer. My favorite was a Jasmine Pale Ale and finished off the samples I took home. I need to find a distributor fast :) Flights are 4 for $4.00 We also took in the tour as brief as it was, but it was well worth it. Don't tell my hubby, but he might be converting me ....slowly
