The Wilson " Snowflake" Bentley museum is small and charming and describes the life of a man who discovered through his photography of snowflakes, that each is unique. His photographs were used by Tiffany's to cut diamonds! The Jericho historical Society gift shop, next to the museum is filled with quality and unique local crafts plus framed prints of some of the snowflake photos.

Stopped at this museum while touring the area and found the collection of snowflake pictures very interesting. The mill is also in a very scenic location and I understand that there is a nice trail to walk behind it. It was a rainy day so we didn't do the trail. There is also a nice giftshop in the building, with some unique items.

We stopped here on day one of our Vermont vacation. It is a great old building with a really cool snowflake museum in the back. Don't miss the snowflake part because it really is a labor of love. In the front of the building is an eclectic variety of local arts and crafts. On a nice sunny day like we had you can explore the water that runs along side the mill.

Beautiful site to take pictures and learn about Snowflake Bentley and his snowflake research. Don't miss self guided audio visual tour in back room (takes about 10 minutes). Many pictures of his work and museum pieces are available to see. Local treasures of Vermont are available for sale in the adjoining building. Make sure to walk down to the water....looks just like a postcard! Whole trip took about 1 hour.

The Mill is an iconic structure that affords visitors wonderful photo ops during every season. The museum and craft shop that occupy the building are both informative as well as whimsical. The mill is the centerpiece of a small village that is worth a stop for an hour or two during your trip through this area of Vermont. This is also my home town so, in the interest of disclosure, I probably have some bias.

The Red Mill barn is full of local treasures. Local weaving and crafts, etc.. At the back there is an exhibition of Snowflake Bentley's antique equipment used for taking his famous snowflake photographs. And that's what the Old Red Mill and Museum is ALL ABOUT! Mr. "Snowflake" Bentley, famous the world over for his wonderful, awe-inspiring photos of snowflakes, which taught us how different each snowflake is. He was a famous resident of Jericho, Vermont, perhaps the most famous. And you can purchase lovely black-and-white photographs of his work. Each year there is a new snowflake and a new one made into a pewter Christmas ornament. There are quite a few by now. A collection may be purchases. Other snowflake jewelry is for sale. There is plenty of parking. You can walk beside a lovely river to a waterfall outside. Also just a little bit away is Joe's Snack Bar, open in the summer. The Red Barn Mill and Museum carries wonderful black-and white prints of his snowflakes

Go see this Old Red Mill and gift shop. It is so classy in an understated way. There is also a hiking path along the river that runs by it. Seriously, just walk up the path for 5 minutes for a stunning waterfall scene. Ample parking right next to the mill.
