Heard about this Meadery after stopping in at a wine tasting. Don't be intimidated at the location - tucked away in a business park near Costco. The owner is very passionate in their products. The Valkyrie's Choice is by far the best tasting of the three, although all offer a good taste to the tongue. Definitely recommend trying.

This husband and wife team love what they do, and it's contagious from the moment you walk through the door. Go on a #FirkinFriday and try out the latest meads.

Groennfell Meadery, located north of Burlington, VT, was started by two Middlebury grad's who use single source honey for their mead products. Their production facility is open for tours and tastings various hours on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, or by appointment. Head mead-maker Ricky will invite you to taste whatever is on tap (provided that you're of legal drinking age) and will happily explain the interesting process that results in their fine brews. They've posted some very entertaining videos on their website and offer an email newsletter to keep you informed of products and events. Their meads are available at various Vermont establishments and for sale through their on-site tasting room. (While in the Burlington area, be sure to take a scenic cruise on Lake Champlain!)
