I was born in England, home of the original Cheddar Cheese, and have to say that Cabot's Seriously Sharp is a top class Cheddar. It has a great "bite".

You will find more flavors and types of cheddar here than anywhere, and you get to sample them before you buy. What could be better?! And lots of other yummy Vermont products are available, as well.

We really like the factory store. They let you try so many flavors of cheese and then sell it all along with things that go with chees, like wine.

We always enjoy taking our guests over to visit here. Often, this place is on their list of things to do while visiting. Earlier this week we had family visiting from Florida and Massachusetts, and they requested to go here. Everyone had a very enjoyable time. My wife and I always enjoy the opportunity to back. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The samples are delicious. Cabot Cooperative is a source of great pride for our whole area.

The video was a bit long explaining how they got started. Interesting to see the process. It cost $2.00 to take the tour and their were plenty of free samples while you waited.

I love cheese and grew up in Indiana just outside of a town that had its own cheese factory, so there was no way I was going to miss this, even if it was a little out of our way. Everybody there was great, very friendly and helpful. You can sample several different cheeses and then get some to take home. I have always liked Cabot cheese, but never knew here it was made, well worth trip, tour was short but very interesting .I had been in several display rooms for cheese factories, this was well laid out and ladies at the counter could answer any of your questions .Well done Cabot,

We've visited once the creamery in Cabot, but after finding the Annex in Waterbury, You never want to go back to Cabot City afterwards. In the Annex store you can taste freely as much as you want about 20 different brands of Cabot cheese, that of course you can buy on the premises, if you decide to. Also different sorts of items are there to taste. And the cheese they sell is fresh and most of the time cheaper to buy than any other supermarket where you can find it. Juste beside their building you have the Lake Champlain Chocolate store where you can also taste and buy chocolate. So if you are around lunch time, you can have a filler with free cheese and chocolate, Route 100 that people use to go to Stowe is in better condition than the one in Cabot. If you like cheese, especially Cabot cheese, the Annex is the place to go

As cheese lovers, we drove about an hour from Waterbury to Cabot for the factory tour and shop. The tour was short, which we expected based on other reviews. The price was good ($2 per person for the tour), and there was some good information. There were 2 main drawbacks for us. First, while we appreciate that the manufacturing area is very clean, the bleach-chlorine smell was very overwhelming during the tour. Also, the tour guide was not friendly. She didn't crack a smile at any point, and she really didn't seem like she was enjoying any part of her job. Unfortunately, her attitude was contagious. It just wasn't worth the trip for us.

One of the highlights of my New England trip. As a foodie and someone who's tried a bit of cheesemaking, I LOVED this tour. We got to see the whole process from beginning (milk) to end (packaging), which was great. The windows in to the rooms are perfect, except for maybe the mixing room, it would have been nice to be higher to view the huge troughs. The store was plentiful and the woman at the desk was very kind and helpful. It was an interesting trip and worth the venture off the beaten path. Also very interesting to see the very small towns around the creamery, from which they get their milk. Loved it.

For any cheese geek, or for that matter any foodie, who savors the best cheese, you must visit the Cabot Visitors Center. While it is enough that you are able to sample the best cheeses in existence, you are also able to take a tour to see how the magic is made. Browsing afterward in the store section, we were lucky enough to be able to sample some Clothbound Cheddar, a Jasper Hill product that, with one taste, you are immediately reminded of Parmigiano Reggiano. This is a destination that should be on every Vermont itinerary. The only criticism is the staff at the visitors center could be a little more exuberant about the privilege they have in being there.

We had fun on this short tour. Loved the sampling! Found out honey on cheese tastes good! I like the cooperative of the company. And that one gets paid for the cleanliness of the milk, the cows are not stressed, the family nature, and the dedication to quality and innovation. At $2 the price is right!

It was definitely worth making the stop, even if you're not interested in making a purchase. They had quite a display of all their cheeses to sample; I had no idea they had so many varieties! We also sampled maple syrup; the raspberry maple is delicious! Other Cabot products were also sold; picked up whipped cream and sour cream at a discounted price.

It was a guided tour with good information. The place was packed so we didn't purchase any cheese at the end since it was so busy. We enjoyed our tour guide.

On the tour visitors are given a decent explanation of how Cabot makes its products and the company's history. It's a short tour that's pleasant if you're already in the area and have other plans for the day.

One of the highlights of our trip was touring the Cabot Creamery. Who knew there were so many different kinds of cheese...Smoked Bacon, Horseradish, White Oak Cheddar. The list goes on. And the tour guides LOVE their job. Definitely a must when touring Vermont.
