Learn about wine and beer in a gorgeous setting. There are tastes of everything sold. Some really nice reds to be had.

We stayed at the cottages and took advantage of the free wine tasting for the guests. All the wines were really good, reds and whites, some dry and some sweet. Seems like a little bit for everybody. Steve, the owner and wine maker was very knowledgeable about wine. There were a lot of people doing wine tasting there and everybody enjoyed it and had a great time. Definitely worth checking out, if you're in the area.

Not for wine connoisseurs but if you're in the mood for a nice family run wine tasting and looking for different style wines, then put this place on you list. Wines were tasty and price is ok. Bought the Happy Ending Rose and enjoyed while watching fireworks.

The wines we tasted were good. The conversation was great. And the folks we were following on the tour of wineries made it even more special as they provided commentary as we arrived at each stop. A fun way to spend the afternoon.

We stayed at the Cozy Cottages(8/30/13 2 nights) ,the Winery is right on the premisis. Wine tasting is FREE if you stay at the cottages! It costs $18.08 per bottle if you want to purchase one.All the wines were very good! My favorite was the happy ending. Owners Stephen & Ursula have a fun enjoyable winery !

We were staying at Cozy Cottages and were offered free wine tasting as their guests. We were very happy we did the tasting. All the wines were really good. Our favorites were Happy Ending Rose’ and Chocolate Mousse. We bought a case (got 10% discount), not only for ourselves but also for Christmas gifts for our relatives. A small gift shop is adjacent to the tasting room, we found a lot of cute stuff there as well. The owner was very knowledgeable about wine and provided a lot of information about Vermont wines and the wine industry in the state. His sweet little daughter was right there watching her dad work which we thought was sooooo cute.

My wife and I stayed in one of the cabins while in Vermont and it was a perfect location to enjoy the local spirits and not have to worry about driving. Both of the owners were very friendly and ensured that we had a pleasant experience with the wine and our stay.

It is sad that I even need to respond to this review. This review was posted by a person that was staying in one of our cottages during Labor Day Weekend, but HAVE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO OUR WINERY NOR THE TASTING ROOM. The motorcycle group that this person is part of portrayed themselves as a family oriented, charitable and polite group and as it turned out they were nothing more but a motorcycle gang. None of the members did wine tasting, they couldn’t tell you anything about Otter Valley Winery’s wines and that’s why they refer to them as "product". This review has nothing to do with our winery, it is 100% untrue and it is just a vindictive attempt to get back at us as the owners for not allowing their group to misbehave on the property.Ursula ZahnOwner/ Operator

How could I resist the free wine tasting while staying at Cozy Cottages. I loved the Boston Bull and was able to taste the Arctic Goose the morning after it was bottled. Enjoyed the wine with friends and at dinner. Definitely worth a visit in Brandon.

We ordered take out lunch for the office and it was first-rate! Their seafood is the best you can get in town! Fresh! The portions were generous and everyone raved about it. We will definitely order from them again!

A friend and I stopped in this evening to try a wine sample - we came home with two bottles. We got to meet the owner & one of the wine-makers which made the experience that much better. We'll certainly be back, but next time we will bring all our friends. They have an ah-mazing white called "Boson Bull" & my girlfriend liked their red called "Pink Moose." A perfect pit-stop from Middlebury to Rutland for tourists, but being a Vermonter, I'll just make it a point to visit again soon! You can only buy their wine there, so stop in and support local! A cute Vermonty-things store, and cabins to stay in too!

Loved going to Vermont and staying at Cozy Cottages. This is third time in three years and each year it keeps getting better and better. The owners are such great hosts and really make you feel welcome. Not to mention the wonderful wine that goes along with campfires.

If you like nice wine, beautiful scenery and friendly and knowledgeable hosts, you must visit Otter Valley Winery in Brandon, Vermont. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 varieties (2 whites and a red) and brought several home to share with friends. Steve and Ursula take great pride in their vineyards, and if you stop by to taste their wine and shop in their store, you won't be disappointed.

We stayed in Brandon for a weekend getaway. It is a nice, quaint New England town and Otter Valley Winery is definitely a “must do" while in Brandon. It is a small, family-owned winery. They just opened this year and have 3 great wines you can taste. Ursula was super friendly and very informative about grape growing and wine making in Vermont (who knew you can grow grapes in Vermont!). All their wines were great, overall, “Pink Moose" was our favorite, but we have to admit, we are very partialto red wines. You have to check out their giant wine cask too, never seen one quite that big. Make sure you bring your camera!Overall a great place, definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
