Don't miss this one. It is not challenging as it is, like most of Florida, largely flat. However, you will not forget the incredible landscaping and homes that line this route. Particularly if you come back via North Ocean Drive (low traffic).

Just did it from the Marina to the Museum, walking, but it's really worth: nice houses and trees (one in particular, near the museum, seems to be the main Palm Beach attraction with its huge roots). Ibis and herons are also around. You can also stop looking at the bridge opening for letting in or out some boat.

I have a walking/running routine: start on Flagler Dr., go across the bridge, take this trail to the end, and go back. You get a glimpse of beautiful homes, enjoy the sounds, smells, and scenery of the water, marvel at the kapok tree, view the great Flagler museum, take in the West Palm Beach skyline, and rest on a bench, if you prefer. I just wish this trail was longer!

Let me answer your question: should I take the time to walk this?YES. Park at the Society of the Four Arts free, and walk free for a Palm Beach worthy experience.

The beach walk is a great place to walk and see WPB from the island. It's not crowded and is a nice stroll past the huge kapok tree! Spend as long or as short a time as you like. It may be too humid to stay for long in the high summer, but it is a great spot to watch the fireworks from West Palm on he 4th of July.

A soo the prettiest pace to stroll or rol. A must do on any trip to the Palm Beaches. The homes a along the trail are beautiful, you find yourself lost in dreams and before you know it you've walked for ever. Good for biking too

We biked from Royal Palm Blvd. to the north tip of the island, mostly along the water. We had to come out to the road to cross over Ponciana, but then caught the trail again beside the Biltmore. There are numerous spots to park on side streets along the way. The trail goes right up to the north end of the island of Palm Beach with paths out to the road, so you can see the fronts of the houses. Across the water is West Palm Beach, yacht clubs and apartments. Fabulous way to spend a beautiful day.

The trail is Beautiful! It was very peaceful out there. It was a little difficult for me to find because I'm not from Palm Beach. So for people like me, the easiest way to find it is to go to Flager Museum, there is a sign that directs you right to it. I had a great time and I will definitely come back again.

This Trail is very nice and easy to do. Close to City Place where you can stop for a little shopping or just browse. Recommended for beginners.

Nothing will give you a better sense of Palm Beach than walking the Lake Trail all the way to the Inlet and back on County Road. The North End is the real Palm Beach and walking will give you a locals view. Walking is better than biking because you can start a conversation with a fellow walker and possibly learn something new or make a new friend.

We love this trail, there is nothing else like it...a beautiful paved path that takes you along the Intracoastal of palm beach.

We walked from the Flagler Museum to the Society of the 4 Arts because the trail was under construction in the other direction. Trail allows you to see past the huge hedges to see lovely homes along the water.

Great paved path for a nice view of the lake for either a walk or run. There was some construction on the path when I was there last but I am sure it is only temporary.

If you're a runner visiting Palm Beach, run the Lake Trail. Just beautiful and in an expensive town, it doesn't cost anything. I ran in the morning and it was just amazing. Well organized, if you're not sure where to go, because it might get confusing, ask the locals. They are super friendly. And bring something to take pictures with. You will love it!
