I recently took my wife and four young children (6, 4, 3 & 1) over to the Discovery Playground which was just up the street from Anderson Park (see my review there). It is located at the Tarpon Sports Complex which has full sized athletic fields. If you have never been, don't worry, it's in the backyard of a local cemetery. Weird, but that's the way it is.Discovery Playground is more like a playscape made of both real wood lumber and composite boards as well. It includes multiple sized slides and climbing structures suitable for a wide range of ages.In the same area you'll find a nice swing set with multiple swings and a tire swing. There is also a separated area just for toddlers. The ground has real wood chips. As parents, we appreciated there is only one entrance and exit for better security. Parking is close and there is a set of restrooms just outside the fence. There are even smaller sized picnic tables just for the kids. The playground is medium to large sized, but not as big as I was expecting. Free parking and access. Our kids had a blast running around, climbing and sliding and were bummed when it was time to go. If you're looking for a good place to let the kids play, this is it. Be sure to check out my pictures. If you found this review helpful, please let me know by clicking the button below! Thank you!

A wonderful playground with plenty of places to climb and swing. There are pint-sized swings and places to climb as well as higher 'castles'/ pirate ship. (Next to soccer fields) It is nice to find a free place where children can entertain themselves and each other! There always seem to be other kids to play with; important for visiting children..... And it is down the street from a wonder ice cream place.
