The water taxi stopped all over the Intercoastal and was an amazing trip. They run frequently - every 20 minutes or so - make sure you get on the double decker one as the tour guide is amazing. Otherwise, the tour is not as informative. You can hop off the boat and get back on - there is nice shopping and restaurants along the way and it is a cool ride!I loved seeing the different exclusive homes and boats. Stephen Spielberg's 5 story yacht is an amazing site!

We took the water taxi from Ft. Lauderdale to Hollywood. The trip was lots of fun and the commentary given was excellent. It's interesting to see the yachts and mansions along the waterway!

We chose Carrie B cruises after reading some reviews, and it was a great choice. Did the intracoastal WaterWay , it was a lovely day, sunny and not that hot, could stay in the upper deck of the boat and take some pictures and enjoy the view. They really care for the customers, the cruise is correct concerning the time and itinerary it does. When we returned, we were able to have lunch in a restaurant nearby and spend some time walking through Las Olas Boulevard.

A number of alternatives for waterway tours including the Water Taxi and without doing one of the tours you won't see the REAL Ft. Lauderdale.

Nowhere in the world do you see the amount of Private Yachts that you see in this waterways, not even in Monaco!

if you've got a couple of hours to use up,you should really consider going on the water taxi's,the crew we and were very amusing and informative ,it was more like a tour of who's who and who's richer,great day out

Great place for seeing some beautiful boats and ships. It can be a little ruff (waves) getting to open ocean. If your on a jet ski you are a target for harbor police. Even if you are going the same speed as boats you will get pulled over. The only way we have found not to be pulled over is to stay behind a boat. The bigger your boat (the more money you have) the faster you can go. When you hit the open ocean of Ft Lauderdale. The color of the water is amazing.

First things first. We didn't know how does it work and people rating without pointing out which company did they take don't make it any easier. So there is at least 4 or 5 companies which can take you around. We did the Water Taxi (yellow boats) which is not far from this waypoint. Only possible option is allday ticket for $26 and it is worthed. There are like 20+ stops in IC Waterway and in between each of them captain or the second from the crew tell you the story about mansions and boats you can see. Go at least to number 3 which was the best for us.

We toured the waterway on the water taxis for about 5 hours. You can get on and off as you please for shopping, sightseeing, the beach, and food. We loved that there is a section that separates the billionaires from the multi-millionaires (the hood I guess). The yachts of course are amazing. Very entertaining to hear the commentary from the taxi crew. The taxis on the waterway are great for getting into downtown Ft. Lauderdale, beach area Ft. Lauderdale or down to Hollywood beach area which is fabulous too. Definitely worth the money.

Great spot down on Los Olas to view the parade. Take a picnic basket and fold up chairs if you can....and get there early to get a good spot. Even better....book a room at The Riverside Hotel with a view of the waterway! Best brunch anywhere in Ft. Lauderdale!!!

You need to take a cruise on this river. It's so fun to see how people live with lots of money. But you never see them out. It's relaxing and fun.
