The place was a ghost town. We showed up at 11 when the place was support to open and it looked like something out of a horror movie. All gates were locked at there was large no trespassing signs. A member of our group honked their horn trying to get anyone's attention , at that time the lady yelled to go around. While we continued to wait, someone pulled up stating that the gate should be unlocked. She tried yelling and contacting the volunteer by phone, but was unable so she drove off. After that we noticed the lock around the gate was open so we let ourself in. We finally met the volunteer who was wearing a white wife beater with no bra. She stated she was busy feeding the animals and can't stop to help the public. As we entered she directed us to go the path and when we was done she would let us out. The cages were dirty and small. The animals looked so sad. Upon leaving I posted a review on their Facebook page, where I was attacked by friends of the buisness owne. Thet turned me into the bad guy saying they are to "busy" to cater to me. Truly an unprofessional group of people. Our family will not go back !

I felt that the name "Animal Adventures" to be very misleading. The place looked run down and unattractive, not to mention the customer service or lack thereof. The "NO TRESPASSING" and "PRIVATE PROPERTY" signs were not very welcoming. I will not be returning and hope the animals are doing well.

This place is a hidden treasure in Okeechobee, FL. The animals are some of the most amazing creatures we have seen in such close proximity. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to see exotic animals up close.

We found out about this place through word of mouth. It was a wonderful experience. These animals are loved and it is evident in the level of care they receive. They have a wide variety of exotics and being able to see them up so close was awesome. This is a great place to visit with the whole family!!!

this experience was just amaizing! very hands -on staff that cares and really knows their animals. I am a big animal lover, so places/people that care so much for well-being of their animals get a lot of respect from me. It was amazing to be in such a close proximity to wild cats, bear, lama and other exotic animals. great place for families, group visits, all ages really!!!

I love this place. You get way closer here than any Zoo I've ever been. So many animals... so little time. I plan on going back very soon. What an excellent experience.

I based my plan to visit Animal Adventures in Lake Okeechobee on the stellar reviews here on Trip Advisor. We were so excited to visit. When we arrived at the address (given above) there was not a human being in sight. We saw many neighborhood dogs, a llama, some turkeys and a cat. The signage was AWFUL and confusing. The "sign" for Animal Adventures indicates to turn left off of SW Rucks Dairy Road but the address given is actually in a different spot. Even when we followed the sign, it didn't look like anyone was there (despite the hours being given as 11-4 on weekends). We were so incredibly disappointed at this bust of a trip. We were prepared with donations and all. What huge disappointment. If those of you who have gone could provide more information on the details of this place it would be great.

This was a whim trip for my husband and I as it was raining and overcast. We drove out to the park not knowing what to expect. A donation box is located at front of park and after seeing the care given to the animals is well worth the price. A very large variety of animals are being cared for including a kangaroo, deer, turtles, many species of monkeys, deer, and large and small wild cats. Took more time than expected to see all of the animals. There are even free roaming deer that come right up to you. If you are an animal lover, I would definitely recommend that you check this out.

This was a great place that no one in okeechobee knows about. We asked everyone where it was and no one new. So we took our chances and we were suprised with the amount of animals they had. It costs a $10 donation per person, but is worth it.
