Repeat visitor from 2014. Am in Florida for our annual Spring Training Baseball and Golf trip. It's a simple beach, with bathrooms. $2 parking fee. Not the biggest beach area, and not the greatest sand, but the beach has sand and water, so it's good enough for me. The park also has those little barbecue grills you can use. The park is difficult to find, but Green Key Rd. is located directly North of the Wing House restaurant. There's also a stand which sells drinks and hot dogs.

Small park that was clean and had adequate parking for size. Children s playground with equipment in good condition. I visited to "scope" pit a beach area and my determination was that I'd go there in a pinch, but prefer a more "beachy" setting. It was an excellent spot for viewing the sunset. $2.00 park fee (exact cash or credit/debit card) accepted.

Whenever we visit my father-in-law, we usually head to Tarpon Springs for some beach time. During our most recent "tour of Florida" trip, we didn't have enough time to spend an entire day at Tarpon Springs, much less swim in the Gulf of Mexico. We couldn't go to Florida without at least seeing the Gulf, so we headed over to Green Key. There is a small parking fee, but outside of that, no other entry fee, so it is very affordable. The beach is small with no frills, but it's a very nice, enjoyable little spot. We didn't have swim gear with us, but we did take off our flip flops to dip our toes in the water. It was very warm and also very hot outside, so a full swim in the water would have been great! I am sure we will be back again, and when we are, we will definitely make a return trip to Green Key!

Very small park. Nice place for a picnic but not for a 'beach' day.Large covered pavilion that can be rented for a group picnic - several (7-8) picnic tables and a large charcoal grill pit. Very small roped-off shallow swim area - okay for small children but not at all for adults. Cement wall drop-off (maybe 3 feet high) to get down to the beach area (unless you wanted to walk down to the side to get to the small sandy beach). Outdoor bathrooms were typical and a small playground area.$2 all-day parking.

The beach sand is dirty, smelly, and I would not swim in the water. It was nasty. Spend the extra time and drive to Clearwater Beach.

My Family Visited the beach last weekend which is the first time! Loved the park and the board walk and how kid friendly the place is, but we not happy with the fact that there was NO WATER the tide was all the way out to the rope and the water felt like bath water. We left behind a jungle themed playpen with a pink jungle themed sheet inside. We just moved here from Bangor Maine and have 4 small kids and are really hoping somebody turned it in, I have searched for the number to contact the park and cannot find one. You can contact me at b.blenkhorn1988@gmail.com or by phone (207) 992-6917. Thank you so much in advance.

My family and I recently moved to New Port Richey from out of state. With four small children, we were quick to look for a nice, close, family friendly beach. This, being the closest to us is just "good" but that's all.Pro's:-Not crowded (Saturday at 7:00PM in summer)-Clean, clear water (though full of dead grass)-Kid friendly (shallow water depth, playground)-Picnic shelters with tables and grills-RestroomsCon's:-Lot's of dead grass throughout the water-Facilities slightly dated and rundown-Parking fee-Theft concerns (warning signs posted)While we will come back, other nearby beaches in the area are more appealing to us such as Fred Howard Park. For the fee required I expected the facilities to be kept up with just a little bit better. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them. I've included a number of pictures in this review. If you have found this review helpful, please let me know by clicking the button below! I would greatly appreciate it!

We were looking for a beach to visit in New Port Richey while we were on vacation nearby. We found Robert K. Rees Memorial Park nearby. If you are not from the area (we are from Chicago), it is very difficult to find this park. From Route 19, you have to turn down a side street, and look for a sign (which doesn't exist at the intersection as I recall). There are a couple of signs further down the street. Anyways, it is a very nice park, which has a playground, a couple of in-ground barbecue stands, and some picnic tables to use. Bathrooms are also close by. There were also a couple of food trucks at the park. The only complaint I have heard is that parking can be difficult at times. Most importantly, if you are not from the area, make sure to look up the location of the park on your GPS, so you know what street to turn on.

This is a nice small State Park. If you prefer being in the outdoors alone though, be sure to come early. People start showing up around 9am, and the parking area fills up quickly. The pay station has been upgraded to accept debit/credit cards.

Even with the wind and cooler temps it was a nice place. Just be prepared, you can't get away from screaming kids as the playground is right in the middle. Beach was nice, plenty of room, picnic tables and a small concession stand. Bathrooms too. There is a $2 parking fee, which was waived the day I was there. Also be very careful driving across the causeway to this little island. There are many fishing folks and there was a woman playing with an unleashed dog running in and out of the bushes, so it could be hazardous. The scenery is beautiful and relaxing. I loved it!!

We have been using this park for years and it is nice and close and not usually crowded. We have swam with the dolphins and enjoyed the toys, it is always clean and well looked after. We enjoy having picnic or just watching the water.

Located on Greenkey road. Along the way to park there are boat tamps and fishing spots. Good spot for families. I walk the length of Greenkey and Sea Forrest to the park. Early morning you get a large amount of birds to view. One place along the way is an eagles nest. I have seen Ospreys hunt and scoop up fish and other prey.

I really enjoy the the board walk and every time my family comes we see dolphins. It's only $2 and on the honor system.

Yes there is water, yes there is sand. If you have small kids (like we did) ths is perfect. Small out of the way, and there is a nice playground. Even at high tide you're lucky if the water comes up past your waist. I was able to walk probably half a mile straight ut and it didn't pass my waist. That being said, it's nice to go and be in the gulf. We will be back next year

I would mostly definitely use this park as a play area for kids or to do a nice picnic. It truly is not a great place to swim or to do any kind of beach activities. Great location and easy to get too. The $2 is on a honor system and it was worth it. Overall we had a nice visit to the park.
