We rented a pontoon, boat ran well but was older and worn. One of the compartments was full of trash. They seemed to be busy the morning we arrived and we waited quite a while they tended to phone calls. Overall I would rent again, but they could use some new boats and maybe a better way of handling the phones while customers wait.

We could not have been happier with our boat rental experience. James, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He helped us get the most out of our boating experience with 4 little kids. I highly recommend this place for boat rentals in Indian Rocks Beach and the surrounding area.

I've rented boats on the Gulf Coast from 7 rental places on approximately 20 occasions over the past 10 years or so. Having been stranded with mechanical breakdowns on at least 4 of those occasions (one of them potentially quite dangerous), I can tell you firsthand the value of renting quality boats from someone you can trust. James at IRB Boat Rentals is that kind of person, and that's why now I always rent from him, even if I can get a slightly better price somewhere else. He treats his boats with the utmost care, and maintains them meticulously. He also treats his customers exceptionally - he is patient, caring, and a person of great integrity. While I'm not sure I want to compete with others for his limited supply of boats ;-) the fact is, he deserves all the customers that he can get. Between the quality of his boats and the quality of his service, no other rental place comes remotely close.

IRB was recommended by the concierge at the Hyatt and from my first discussion with James, I knew we'd found a winner. The boat was in great shape and James took time to educate us on the area, the local waters and recommended a great route for us. We had an outstanding time and ended up seeing a spotted Eagle Ray, dolphins and a manatee. Can't wait to go back and rent again.

My husband and I wanted to take my family out for the day and rented a boat from IRB Boat rentals. When we arrived, we met James, and not only was he very thorough and professional, he made sure we knew the area and pointed out several areas of interest. The boats were in EXCELLENT condition! The prices were great, the customer service was wonderful and our day was perfect. If you are looking for a boat rentals in the area, we highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again in the future!

IRB Boat Rentals is a great place to rent a boat. The boats are in great shape, clean, well maintained. James the owner is very knowledgeable regarding boating and navigating the Intracoastal Waterway as he is retired from the US Coast Guard. We rented a 21' Cobia with a 150HP Yamaha OB.James spends a lot of time going over the operation of the boat, safety and how to read navigation charts, the boats also have GPS, VHF radio, and stereo. They have tubes, knee boards, and water skis to rent, we rented a tube so I could take our two kids tubing in the bay just north of the rental location.We also stopped at Frenchy’s in Clearwater for lunch, they have a dock on the Intracoastal. Rental prices were very reasonable for the quality of equipment offered.They do get busy so make sure to make a reservation in advance.Overall Two Thumbs Up!

Nicely maintained boats and good hands-on advice from the owner James,, for the less experienced, or those without very recent experience. Good value and genuinely nice guy, with a good business driven b loyal customers - just booked a day for next month when we come over from the UK.

Recently rented a pontoon for the $99 2 hour special. The people were very thorough and made sure our " captain" knew what he was doing before we left the dock. Very friendly atmosphere made it that much more fun. We actually got turned around and off course at one point and they were watching us on GPS and sounded an alarm to tell us to call them. They then stayed on the phone until we got back on course. Good to know they were watching and we were safe t all times. Would highly recommend for a fun day

Every year we rent a pontoon and play on the water. We tube and snorkel around the little islands. Boats are great. Have everything you need. Always helpful.
