My husband and I visited as a result of a Groupon (we never knew it existed before as we're in the process of moving from Palm Beach County down south!) and loved it - great fruit and vegetables that you can either pick or take from what they've already picked; great prices; delicious fruit and vegetables. My only recommendation would be to label some of the items you can pick - for example, there were about 3-4 types of tomatoes (red, green heirloom) and since none were labeled on the vines, we didn't know which were which and if they were ripe (so for example, was a green tomato really a green tomato, or was it an unripe red one?) Our solution was to pick the strawberries and get the tomatoes, peppers, etc, from what they picked! And don't forget to try a strawberry milkshake while you're there!!!We'll definitely return once our move is complete...

What's better than picking and eating strawberries? Picking while standing rather than crawling around on the ground as I'm used to.

Great strawberries, very easy and fun, very clean and when you get home you can still keep the fun going, enjoying the fresh strawberries, making mermalade, yum

Didn't realize we could pick. Families with kids picked the freshest most beautiful strawberries ever. You could also bring your picnic as there's an area with tables. Bought some mango jam and more basil, a lovely, fragrant bunch!Worth the visit for u-pick and the shakes. Most importantly, is not as crowded as other places, i.e., Knaus.

We live here in south florida, and we had cousins visiting from Puerto Rico , we went yesterday so our 9 year ok'd cousin could enjoy her adventure in strawberry picking, and it was a wonderful experience for the whole family. She filled a basket of strawberries. What a wonderful morning and experience we all had. The lady at the register was very pleasant . She have us sample of their diff. Homemade preserve, the most delicious one was the tomato preserve, I would have never guessed it was made with tomatoes. We needed up buying strawberry preserve and the tomato preserve. Kudos to burr's berry farm.

My son decided he wanted to go strawberry picking for his birthday. So we loaded friends and family in a party bus and headed down to Burr's Berry Farm. I called in advance and planned the party with Carl who had tables and chairs set up for us in the shade. When we arrived, Pep directed us to the party area. She brought out baskets for all of us to start picking strawberries and took food orders at that time. When everyone had filled their baskets, she brought out all of the milkshakes and other food we had ordered. The strawberry milkshakes were the best ever! There was live music just steps away playing in the background. We all felt as if we were on a two hour vacation. The strawberries are grown vertically so you don't even have to bend down to pick them. We will definitely go back before this season is over. Carl and Pep are as nice as can be and offer provide as much or little for your party as required. They also accept credit cards.

We stopped here and filled a basket of berries. The strawberry plants are grown in such a way that you don't have to bend way over to pick them. Very few bugs. The strawberries are very good- red and juicy. There was a guy singing and playing guitar as well as a line for milkshakes. The berries are sold by weight, so only pick what you think you will actually need/eat.

I have been going to Burrs for years. The hot dogs are great as is the strawberry shortcake. However, take a lot of cash. It has become very over priced. Their strawberries are really good. If you go late you won't get them. I pre-order mine for pick up the next morning. There are a lot less expensive places to get your produce, extremely over-priced. I love going there though for the hot dogs and shortcake.

This is a South Dade institution! You must stop by! We also walk away with jars of fresh salsa, jellies, breads (strawberry or banana) and the ice cream is smooth and heavenly. They have a new patio/garden area where you can eat in now, love it! Bring the kids and make an afternoon of visiting Burr's. And don't leave empty handed! Bring some goodness home.

We have been going to Burr Berry's for years. It has been in South Dade since 1965. The Burr family keeps adding new wonderful items to their location. They added a beautiful covered seating area which is very relaxing. They have some of the best fresh produce ever that you can purchase while sipping on the best strawberry shake ever. Their shakes have lots more strawberry in them and not thick like ice cream a true shake. Juicy delicious hot dogs. Fresh cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberrys, jams, salsa and lots more. While some might say they are expensive, that is not true. Their strawberrys are packed very tight in the container so is deceiving how many are in the container and did I say juicy??? Better have a napkin because they are super juicy. These berries are not picked green like at the grocery stores. This year they added a hydroponic garden area where you can go pick fresh strawberry or vegetables. No bending over in a field, since they are grown in a tower. They also host some events during the year, BBQ, demonstrations, etc. They open usually right before Christmas and try to stay open until Mother's Day in May. We have been going there every weekend for our treat of the week, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Nice break if traveling south and need a refreshing shake. About a mile west from exit 11 (216 st) from turnpike south. On the same road to Monkey Jungle.

We happened upon this place as we were driving back from an airboat ride (don't ask how we got here). SOOOO glad we stopped. 3 of us got strawberry shakes and 1 key lime pie shake. They have delicious shakes. So delicious we actually considered driving back an hour another day during our vacation to go back. Must stop here for a treat!!!!!

If you want those strawberries (in season for snowbirds and winter tourists) to be picture perfect, then get down to Burr's Berry Farm, part of the RedlandRiot (see web site of same name). These berries cost more, yes, because there are no white areas. They are not giant doubles and hollow inside. The seeds are not congregated at one green area. Simply put, these are picture-perfect berries in every way. The others must get shipped off site, as the ones at their berry stand, with fields behind, are simply the best of the best.So if you want to go to the source to find not the cheapest, but the best, then Burr's has them. I went to the other berry farms in Redlands and they are all good, but their berries simply do not have the eye appeal of Burr's.By the way, the RedlandRiot tour is highly recommended, from start to finish, to see old Florida, eat some berries, have a fresh cinnamon roll, buy some orchids and see the 'gators in the Everglades. A great day-long trip for the family. A full-time resident like I finds it to be fun once a year.
