i am afraid i cannot recommend this day spa. i always get a pedicure and sometimes a facial on my vacation trips, and i was really looking forward to my visit to this place, but it turned out not to be all that special an occasion.i got a facial and an "ultimate pedicure." because i got two services, my total bill was 10% off. i can't remember exactly how much each service cost, but my total bill was $100 (not counting tip).the facial was better than the pedicure. it took about an hour. however, although the attendant was very nice, the facial was not particularly exceptional. fragrant lotions and creams were used, but my face didn't feel or lookappreciably different from when i started.the "ultimate pedicure" was a complete disappointment. it took about an hour also. various lotions and creams were applied to my feet. the cuticle- and nail-cutting parts hit some tender spots and actually caused some places to bleed. the nail polish color selection was fairly poor, and it got smeared by the attendant or a towel or SOMETHING before i even left the salon (although i didn't notice until i got out the door, then i was so irritated that i didn't want to go back in).the worst parts of the whole appointment, tho, were the massages that accompanied the facial (neck and shoulders) and the pedicure (legs and feet). make no mistake, these are deep-tissue massages (and i am accustomed to massages). they hurt somewhat when i was getting them, and the next morning when i got up, i could hardly walk, my legs especially hurt so much and were so stiff. this wore off late on the second day after my appt.
