Nice massage with great Amenities. The "relaxing room" offered coffee, tea, flavored waters as well as Kashi bars, fruit & yogurts. The women's locker room was nice & clean & offered a steam room/showers. I was happy with my massage.

For the past 5 years, since our honeymoon, my husband and I have anticipated our wonderful couple's massage at the Stonedrift Spa! We cannot afford massages close to home on a regular basis, so this is a definite treat that we always schedule time for on our visits.

Attended a wedding there. Food was better than average for a wedding of 200+. View off the back was great.

Our foursome golfed at both the north course and the south course. We had a great time but did manage to lose lots of golf balls. They were tough but doable courses. Sand traps galore. The price was cheaper after 2 pm.

me and my family came here for easter. We stayed in one of the town houses. t was absolutely amazing. The house was huge and had everything you need. The general store was awesome as well, but one of the staff members didn't seem to like working there very much. She seemed a little annoyed at us asking for something in the bakery. No biggie though i still had an amazing time. Don'tforget to check out the pool!

We came here for the day to ice skate and go sledding after an injury one of us had made downhill skiing impossible. They were friendly and very busy - lots of people cross country skiing and renting snow shoes. A great family place to try a bunch of winter activities.

We had a great stay. Enjoyed the view/breakfast/etc. then we accidentally left an item in the room. It's now been almost 3 weeks and still not returned. The day after we left we called and housekeeping assured us items were in room. Two days after we left we confirmed that they had the items and were going to ship them. A week later we called back and they said items had been shipped via FedEx but they didn't have a tracking number? Then a week AFTER that they said they originally thought it went out but it didn't. Now STILL no package and we are assured it has been taken care of. Loved the stay but definitely won't go back after getting the complete runaround ona simple lost item.

I rented a house with 8 other friends recently at the resort. It was good to all be together, but the house had some issues such as mold in the drywall of the basement bathroom.

We checked on on Friday afternoon and stayed in a "Villa" a short drive from main buiding. Villa was accomodating. From front door there were stairs that went down to kitchen, bath and living room, and deck. The Bedroom was up stairs with a bath and a sitting area. It was fine for us, but an elderly person or handicapped would never have gotten past the front door. Grounds are beautifully maintained. Not a scrap of paper on the grounds anywhere, I took many walks with my small dog and we really enjoyed our adventures. We looked out onto the golf course - I think it was the 17th hole. Visited the Spa which is in the main building. Had an excellent facial and massage. Very good therapists. Very nice and excellent workers. Check in with Ms. Panfil was excellent. We received a dog gift with a little stuffed eagle that my dog LOVES. I had forgotten to pack her a toy so this was a great treat! Very nice and accomodating front desk area. Did not eat on site - we ate in town and brought snacks and drinks with us for the villa. The only reason I did not give a 5 is that its clear the rentals are individually owned, which is fine, but I feel the cleaning could be better. For 300+ a night, I would expect it to be cleaner, less dusty on furniture, better linens. I dont know if that is a possibility or not - Im not sure how the rental concept works ..does the resort provide the linens or does the owner? Anyway - for 2 nights I can deal- but it was interesting. It seems that the bathrooms get good cleaning attention, but the living room furniture, dining table were dusty and needed attention. The maps and local informational literature that is given out at check in were very helpful and thorough. I brought my own coffee and filters but there was both in the kitchen area. I brought my own toiletries, but there was small bar hand soap and shampoo. I loved shopping in town and came home with a full car! Ate at 111 Main St. Bistro - excellent and Perry St. Brasserie....so -so. Had a burger for lunch at Paradise - good. It was my first trip to Galena and I will happily return when it is warm so I can golf.

I understand the property was built in the 70's and the outside area show it. Some of the decks near the main lodge are worn and need staining. One of the buildings also needs attention. Not sure about the design of the complex but it reminds me a a mid priced hotel like American Inn. As you enter the front of the lodge vestibule, the carpeting is beyond dirty! This week was very dry so no one was tracking dirt in. That's not the first impression you want to give! The bed we had was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We would return if the price was right but see no reason to pay the higher in season rates. We are glad we stayed but remember, they add on an $18 per day resort fee.

Stayed 3 nites at the resort. My wife loved the deep tissue massage at the spa, I "tackled" the General golf course, (quite the challenge and spectacular views), we chugged around in a pontoon boat on the lake outside the resort, went for several nice hikes, which are somewhat hilly. We also enjoyed our dinner at the Woodlands (onsite) restaurant, and even more at Spikes, overlooking the General golf course. Both were fairly pricey, but no surprise to us.

Forgive me for a long review, but I want to give you the information that I spent hours looking for.We booked a package called the "Eagle Ridge Getaway" - a room, 20% at the spa, and a $50 credit on site. We stayed in a king courtyard room. Our thoughts on the trip:The room: It was not a large room, but that was not a big issue. The decor is a little outdated but suits the theme of a woodsy retreat. Carpet and paint could use updating just to make it look a little less worn. The bathroom was split into two - a tiny room with the tub/shower and toilet, and the small counter/sink in the main room. The hair dryer is in a bag in the closet. That's nice because it is not occupying wall space. The room does not have a refrigerator, so we brought a cooler and some zip bags that we filled with ice. The courtyard rooms are a short outside walk from the main inn and restaurant and occupy 3 levels. The 100 level is actually below ground from the inn and looks out over the lake or woods. The 200 level is ground level. We requested a 300 level room with lake view. It had a nice balcony with an old bistro set. Being on the top floor was quiet, and the only noise we got was through the door. The resort was not busy, so we didn't get much noise. The on-site food: We brought our own breakfast fixings and had 2 lunches on site to use our credit. We ate at the Woodland's lounge and had ice cream from Paisano's that night. The food in the lounge was pretty tasty, but not so special that I need to go back. The grilled veggie pizza was good. Prices are a little high, but that's normal for these kinds of places. The ice cream was pretty good - I think we got a less popular flavor so it was a little icy. We used the rest of our credit at the on-site general store to buy sandwiches for the road. These were nothing special but were tasty enough, although again very high price. The amenities: The room reservation comes with some rentals - canoe, bikes, and paddleboats. We rented a canoe one morning. That was wonderful! Paddling around the lake was fun! We rented bikes that afternoon. BIG ALERT!!!! The bike trails are MOUNTAIN trails - not for kids and not for pull behind trailers. Several times, we had to dismount and walk the bikes up a steep grade. We don't mind this, but smaller kids would not make it. The trails are beautiful. We swam in the indoor pool. Yes, it is indoor with some retractable sky lights. This is not a bad thing. It is a larger indoor pool than most hotels. The sauna was broken when we were there. There is no hot tub, but there is a steam room. The staff: Everyone we talked to was kind, helpful, and good natured. My husband lost his glasses while we were there, and the staff did what they could to help him try to locate the missing item (which we never found). This was not the staff's fault at all!The location: The resort is about a 15 minute drive at most to Galena. We ate dinner in Galena twice, once at One Eleven Main and once at the Log Cabin Steakhouse (see review).Sum up: We enjoyed the peace and quiet on the lake and trails, and enjoyed spending time there. We will most likely return next spring or summer, maybe bring the kids! The rooms are not all that special, but suffice. It is the surrounding nature that you come here for, and the kind staff who greet you any time they pass!

My wife and I spent 3 days at Eagle Ridge resort and truly look forward to going back. The spa and amenities were wonderful. I called ahead and was able to get a golf lesson from the head pro Michael Stewart. He was just great. His genuine interest in me and my game is what Midwest hospitality is all about. Not only did he improve my game in one lesson, but he assisted me in getting on the signature coarse " the General". I look forward to getting back there. I highly recommend Eagle Ridge and the whole golf experience. Thanks again Michael.

My family and I stayed in a two bedroom villa. It was very clean and comfortable, with spectacular views. We attended a wedding there. The room was beautiful, the food was fantastic and the view/ambiance was wonderful.

Ask for a table by the windows in the Eagle Ridge Resort Inn restaurant so you can enjoy the lake views. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Although good size, it has a cozy feeling, which is welcome on cold winter days and nights. My wife and I live close by, and occasionally visit this charming inn restaurant. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. Both the daily breakfast buffet and Saturday evening prime rib buffet are excellent. Parking may be a little bit of a walk if the inn is well occupied. The last time we were here in December, 2012, was for dinner with friends. The menu is varied and the food well prepared. It is somewhat pricey, which is why we don't go more often.
