My husband went by this bar, and tried several different beers. I loved having the opportunity of having such a wide selection. We had two bartenders that night, and both were very helpful to us. If we ever have a chance, we will go back. Great atmosphere. Love their menu.

I try to visit the Craft Beer Bar every time I'm in town. They have a great selection of craft beer in bottles. They have an extensive list of mixed draft combinations that I plan to begin to sample. I wish their draft list was a little more diverse. It seems as though they offer a diverse variety of a particular style. Service is good and the prices are reasonable. Overall it's a must try!

Great, huge selection of craft beers. Biggest choice in town. Very friendly owners. What is even better, there is a hip, comfy atmosphere and seating, so even if you are just along for the experience but not drinking, you'll enjoy yourself. So glad to see that this place has a new owner who is making this place even better with classes and special events!

The Craft Beer Bar is an awesome place for the craft beer enthusiast. If your idea of good beer is anything that starts with the word Bud, Miller, Anheuser, or any other mass-distributed beer, this is probably not the place for you. Located in downtown Springfield, the Craft Beer Bar is easy to get to, and well worth the journey. Once inside, the place is a bit minimalist, having a few tables and about 15 bar stools. The glory, though, is the selection of craft beers. One count puts that number at about 188. One-Hundred-Eighty-Eight different beers (twelve on tap)...and not a single Budweiser or Miller label among them! The beer selections are hung on shingles behind the bar (see my photos). They're arranged via style, and Steve (the bartender that day) has a pretty good idea what he's got and can make recommendations for you if you're new to craft beers. You can sample anything that's on tap, and one Tuesdays they offer flights of 4 beers (up to 20). The atmospere is well-suited to the establishment. It's kind of neighborhood bar-ish, and the the kind of place you can sit for a few hours and take the time to relax and enjoy your beverage without being rushed. It's a very unique establishment, and one I wish I lived close enough to enjoy more often. If you're looking for a great craft beer destination that ISN'T a beerfest, this is the place for you.

This newer bar focuses on craft beers, and does a wonderful job of it. With more than 120 beers available, there is sure to be something for everyone. Service is prompt and friendly, and they do know their beers. It is refreshing to see beers served in their proper glasses as well. The beer list can be a bit overwhelming, but it is broken down by style both on the boards and in the menu. If you are into beer, this place is a must when you visit Springfield.
