Stopped here for one night and wished it could have been longer. Most spots are 30 amp but there are some 50 amp. Our spot was so level we didn't use the jacks. We had a water view and watched a nice sunset. No water or sewer hookup. Walked around a bit and found the park to be very peaceful. So glad we stopped.

We recently visited this park for the purpose of being able to go horseback riding. The website says there are horses available to rent and trail riding. We were staying in the area for a short getaway, and have to 2 older children to keep entertained, as well as ourselves. We visited the office to ask about the stables and were told the horses were no longer available. Nowhere, on any website, was this information mentioned. I specifically looked at entertainment options for this area. The park itself was fine, some of the grass needed mowed, but overall it was OK. The only other thing we noticed, was some of the nature trails seemed to be closed, so we werent even able to do that. The area seems a little economically depressed and after 2 days of a 4 day trip, we left for home. There is just basically nothing to do other than ride bicycles or go boating, which we do have a boat. Probably won't return to the area:(

There were no water hookup at the campground. Most of the electrical hookups were 30 amp; there were a few 50 amp available. Don't forget to pick up your trash; there are a multitude of skunks roaming the campground and they love to get in the trash.

The campground is located a short drive from the resort, and the sites are level, have plenty of space between them, and many are waterfront. I give the campground 4 stars because there's only one bath house. The resort has motel rooms, conference room, cabins, and botels. Bike and boat rentals are also available. The botels were in need of updating when we last stayed several years ago. The pool is very nice, and we observed it in 2012 when we rented bikes.

Great place to camp, eat, enjoy family. I love to take my grandson out camping, fishing, boating, etc.. WFSP is the place to go!

My friends brought my husband and myself to the state park to go fishing. We fished off the peer and had a great afternoon!! Very relaxing!!! They seemed to have an area that you could picnic in if you were interested. I will definatly go back on my next trip.

We have our family reunion here every year and everyone is pleased with the service and accomodations. We are looking forward to this years stay.

We rode around the campground looking at spots during Memorial Day. It seems like a nice campground. We also stopped and ate at a restaurant in the lodge. It was very good.

renting bikes was fun, although the bikes were not in good repair. the rifle range was nice and the owner very helpfulthe horseback riding experience was dangerous and not well managed and resulted in serious injuries---DON'T DO IT

park was nice enough but mantained by bankrupt state of Illinois so it will never be as good

Had some family reunions here and lived about 10 minutes away for a couple years...this place is great. Awesome lake, best in southern Illinois. Horseback riding, resort, paddleboats, hunting & fishing, shooting range...a lot to experience!
