Although the downtown docks are just transient and you can't load, unload or refuel, here's hoping that all the good parts of sunset get moved to Schwiebert Park and that the difficult boat access and poor dredging get left behind forever. Until then, however, this remains your best bet for pool 16 river access for any sizable watercraft. It's best activity is floatzilla when thousands of kayaks and canoes take over Lake Potter and link up for an annual world record attempt. It's second best thing is the best view of the 280 bridge and sunset on the Mississippi. (Don't get discouraged when the scenic view sign points to a junkyard, just follow the signs back to the river and you'll get a gorgeous sunset). It also has great bicycle access to downtown Rock Island and the rest of the QC.

Good place to launch a boat and a very nice lookout tower to view the MIssissippi River. But, it just seemed a under kept to me.
