You can't beat the value for a full day of fun. Great rides, friendly staff. Could be cleaner, but I'm not complaining. Really the ticket prices, food prices, season pass prices are a deal. This is not Orlando. You shouldn't compare it to Orlando. It's Gurnee, IL and it is good fun. So you should go. And wear your sunscreen.

Pass for the year is a great value. Waterpark is a big perk for the warm weather!!! Park is always kept clean!

We visited here while on vacation in Chicago and were really looking forward to the theme park. I used to go to Orlando every year as a child so I was excited to visit now as an adult. When we arrived there as ample parking even with it being one of the last weekends of the summer and as our hosts had season passes we walked straight through. We were there for the gates opening and even then we had to wait 2 hours to ride Goliath. I don't like thrill rides myself so it might I had to stand and wait for the rest of the party to come off the ride. All the lines were long for the big rides and it ate into our day. The food was average but overpriced and I can see why people bring their own snacks. For me there was no enough variety away from the big rides. Not enough shows, smaller rides, arcade type games which i was expecting to see as they are all staple attractions in the Orlando theme parks. If you love thrill rides and are willing to be there all day and only manage to ride a few then this is the place for you but otherwise a bit of a waste of money.

I went here with my 15 year old son. We have season passes in St Louis and decided to make the trip up to ride the incredible coasters. The coasters are phenomenal but the lines are insanely long. 2 rides in 4 hours is just too long.

As a coaster enthusiast, I really enjoyed this park very much. They have a terrific lineup of roller coasters. The best coaster is by far Goliath. This ride is insane! It is a relatively short ride, but the great intensity makes up for it. Raging Bull, Batman: The Ride, and Viper are also very thrilling rides. The customer service, ride operations and efficiency were good for the most part. The one big drawback is that there are very long lines for most of the rides during the summer, even on weekdays, and it's probably because this is the only major amusement park in the Chicago area. If you can, definitely buy a Flash Pass to get more out of your day. Food and parking are on the expensive side, but that is to be expected in almost all parks nowadays. Despite the long lines and prices, if your are into thrill rides and roller coasters like I am, Six Flags Great America will not disappoint.

We went here with our 6/3 yr old but met up with my friend and her two teens. The rides are great here way better then atlanta six flags! The food was great. We got the fast pass so we didn't have to wait long it was so worth it! Thank goodness when we went the weather was nice! This is a must visit on a trip to Chicago

Well, to start, I accidentally ordered tickets for the wrong park online so be careful!! I tried calling the parks and corporate immediately when I realized the mistake. I called several times and left 3 messages and no one called back….ever. Kind of a "got ya" mentality. Most companies care enough about their customers to not penalize them for an honest mistake. I ordered tickets for the right park and we showed up on what must have been the busiest day of the year. Parking was relatively easy. When we got up to the park we had to validate our tickets. There were lines everywhere and not clearly labeled. So I chose a line and asked the person in front of me if I'm in the right line…they said yes. I get up to the window after waiting 30 min and I'm in the wrong line. Thank goodness the attendant took care of me there so I wouldn't have to wait again. The line I was supposed to be in was INSIDE the park…How was I to know??? No clear signs! Once in the park, it was clear we needed the flash pass so again we walk to the middle of the park to get in another line. We are told there might not be enough flash passes but we wait and they run out when we get to the front of the line. They take our names and numbers and promise us they will call us in order when the passes come in. After seeing the lines are 120+ minutes I go back to see if they got any more passes and they were giving them out to people who were behind us in line and didn't bother to call us!! The whole name taking thing was a charade!! Finally we got a pass (THEY ARE NOT CHEAP) and the next ride we could get on with the pass would take over an hour. We were at the park for 3 hours before we even got on one ride!! You can only schedule one ride at a time on the flash pass so you are always waiting at least another hour. We scheduled one ride and after waiting an hour we show up and the ride is shut down, so we had to wait another hour to get on the next ride. We were at the park for 10 hours and got on 5 rides. Miserable first experience. Guess we were spoiled with our Disney experiences. Don't know why you have to go thru so many lines to get taken care of. Everything should be at the front of the park at check in. We purchased the year pass so we will try again on a lighter day and hope to have a better experience.

We went to Great America because my granddaughter had won a ticket to go.She wanted me to go to ride the roller coasters and we did later another family arrived to make it that much more enjoyable. We stayed till the park closed after the the parade. It's we worth your while to stop there for at least one day.

I have been to Six Flags twice and the rides are just awesome. My most favorite is the Superman ride. Thrill unlimited is the tagline that I can really give to this place. The entertainment shows, the food the music is all first rate. There is a waterpark too that is open during the summers and has some great slides.

I have had a season pass for the past several years and it never ceases to deliver value. Always a good time and in the past couple of years, the park has only gotten better. Very clean and very friendly employees with great rides. I've noticed that the number of visitors has increased and it reminds me of when I visited as a kid with all the people. Lines are long but getting a Flash Pass once a year makes the days of waiting in line for hours a thing of the past.
