oak grove golf course

Found this place by accident and at 9:00am there were only 7 cars in the parking lot. A really nice and well kept course with lots of challenging shots and some really great greens. Then there is the 11th hole which is fitted in to some wetlands and for a first time player is just a nuisance!! Next time 3 layups with irons and a chip to the green I think. we never saw anybody else on the course and played in a few minutes over 3 hours.I hope they get more people on other days as we intend to go back when we are in the area next year. Also great value at $30 with cart.

This is the best kept secret in Northern IL and SE Wisconsin area. The course is always in great shape and the rates are very reasonable. Sign up for their email list and they'll only send you and email about once a month and it has coupons for golf. This course is very challenging for the novice golfer all the way up to the zero handicappers. The Up North feel and elevation changes make this course a MUST play for anyone looking for a well kept golf course and very reasonable rates.

It's 8:30 AM and there are three cars in the parking lot.You folks in Northern Illinois/ Southern Wisconsin are missing out on a very special place to tee it up. This tract, if it was located in my part of Texas, would be slammed. The course was originally developed about ten years ago. A huge 5000 employee Motorola plant was built in the area, and this upscale venue was built to support the anticipated boom. The huge plant shut down after only a few years, but the championship golf course is still here. These 18 holes are a challenge. Several of the longest par fives play directly into the wind. There's plenty of variety with tough par 3's and medium to long par 4's. The course is in excellent condition. The greens are as smooth as glass. The fairways and tees are full and green. The course is located in a bird and wildlife sanctuary. There are many wild friends out on this course, but they stay well hidden in the rough. We were fortunate enough to play with Walt, a member and regular player. I highly recommend this beautiful course. They have special rates for seniors, and on GolfNow.

We played 18 beautiful holes mid-week in August 2012 with a cart, and it was $32 each. The course was well maintained and challenging. The staff was friendly and helpful.
