After seeing sights and enjoying some great restaurants, my girlfriend wanted to do some shopping. Since she was patient with me, and I owed her some time. I remembered this shopping plaza, so we went there. She loved some of the small clothing stores there, and I loved some of the stuff she picked out. She could've shopped for hours! She found items and styles that she had not seen in any of the other larger stores, or back home. Made us both happy.

To quote a yelper: "I am not going to go into the tirade that I would like to about the city of Berwyn, the plaza management, and Walgreens but the dismantleing of the spindle is really a shame. I will miss you!" Another: "Oh Spindle, RIP. You were such a sight to behold. May the owner of Cermak Plaza be forever cursed. Oh wait he probably already is. He is most likely the sole customer of those horrifyingly tacky "art galleries" you see in malls, with garish paintings of gondolas and leaping dolphins. Even the "Dogs Playing Poker" picture is too highbrow for him." In fact, I do not know a SINGLE PERSON who wished this sculpture be removed. We're all saddened that landmark we knew and loved as young adults is now dismantled. Shame on you, Judy Barr, for letting this travasty take place. I watched as it was even featured in the movie Wayne's World. The crowd cheered that Chicagoland had been given props this way. We were all so proud that this strange/bizarre work of art was showcased for the world to see on the silver screen.
