Dramatic scenery with sun, sand, sea, and numerous giant bleached out fallen trees. Arrange your family in branches and take great pics!

It looks like a set for one of those "End of the World" movies. Stunning beach loaded with weathered trees mired in the sandy beach. Not exactly a beach for lazing in the sand and getting a tan, but it's a great place to take a walk in the sand ... and take some stunning pictures.

We had an excellent dinner and the wine prices are lumped in two categories; $10 and $15. Service is friendly and the seafood is excellent. Ask your waiter why the Georgia shrimp are so good here.

We rented bicycles for the day and road the north loop of the island. At the fishing peer we left the bike path and took our bicycles out on the beach. The sand was firm and we were able to ride our bikes to the north end of the island and then on to Driftwood Beach. It was truly unique to ride a bike on the beach. The scenery was spectacular!

I've never seen a beach like this before. The trees were so breathtaking and each were different. Took a ton of pictures. Also a great place to reflect. A must see.

Beach erosion has thrust giant, majestic live oaks into the sea and created a masterpiece carved by nature's hand for all to enjoy. You can take countless shots, suitable for framing, in the mile or so of gnarled trees. Position your loved ones in the grasp of the trees' driftwood limbs and snap away for a lasting memory of one of the most beautiful places on this earth, Jekyll Island!

It is impressive, most people expression is a big "Wow"!! Once I found this place, I have come way too many times... I have taken awesome pictures!! Beautiful pregnant wife, new born walking, family and many others and are so popular on Facebook, that every time someone comes to visit, I have to take them there to take pictures. Great place!!!

I went on the horseback ride excursion on Jekyll Island, on Driftwood Beach! Awesome experience! Very nice lady lead our horses (mine a palomino!) thru a trail & out to Driftwood Beach. I was astonished to witness this spectacular sight!

We were there on Valentines Day and it was very cold. However it was a beautiful day and enjoyed the beautiful driftwood and the trees around the beach area. Although it was too cold to swim the water looked pristine and the area was spotless. We will be returning in the summer.

The beautiful beach! We went at least 4 times, to capture photos with different light effects. Tucked away from the road, not too easy to find. A couple were having their wedding photos taken. great for exploring and the inner pirate in all of us.

Driftwood Beach was one of the stops during our stay on Jekyll Island. The beach is different and interesting. It is covered with remnants of trees which makes it a natural wonderland. The feeling is quite peaceful and serene. The beach is very wide and provides for a nice walk. There is also plenty of room if you actually want to "beach" it! Bring chairs, dogs, umbrella, etc.I didn't really see any signs, however, there are multiple beach access points along North Beachview Drive that also provide access to Driftwood beach.

We decided to take a lot of family pictures here on a (cold but) sunny day. They came out very well. There is a staggering assortment of downed trees here so it is well worth the trip.

We ate here on Valentines Day for dinner. Food and service was excellent. Fish was very fresh. Will be making a return trip!

You simply have to see this beach if you have never seen a drift wood beach. Like others have stated there are no signs, head to the north side of the beach. You can tell by the way the road is built up on the sides, and from natural paths, that you are there. We actually passed an entrance, saw the Driftwood Bistro and turned around. We went around 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning and were the only ones there. Truly gorgeous! Take a camera!
