Peaceful and loaded with history. It's a great place to come and unwind and enjoy the life we behold from the sacrifices of our ancestors.

I had visited LaFayette, GA before, but did not have time to stop. I never forgot their town park with bench swings and a large gazebo. I finally made it back to LaFayette not long ago, and I spent a lovely couple of at Joe Stock Memorial Park, punctuated by a visit and tour of The Marsh House museum (cost of museum tour is $5.). I spent over an hour sitting on a bench swing, in the park, on a lovely, warm, sunny Saturday afternoon. If you are looking for a quiet way to spend a Saturday afternoon try LaFayette and their Joe Stock Memorial Park, just look for the park with the bench swings and fountain. Also, there are plenty of food establishments on the highway in the North part of town.
