At the GA visitors' center we met a lovely lady representing the Lane Southern Orchards. It sounded so nice and we were not in a hurry so we decided to stop by. What a find. Beautiful Orchards even in the late winter. The Orchard retail store offered a number of produce for sale. There were also unique gift items, jams, syrup, pancake mixes, local wines and, of course, pecans. The little cafe was clean and inviting. We had the peach cobbler with ice cream -yummy! They had a number of main menu items too but we were interested in the pies and other desserts. There were rocking chairs on the porch so inviting. There was an outdoor playground for kids and old tractors to climb on. In growing seasons they give farm tours. Everyone we met from those in the cafe, a lovely young lady explaining about the jams and pecans to a helpful lady in the office area. Only exception were the girls at checkout who couldn't care less and did not even look you in the eye. Guess they just wanted to get back to their conversation. We will go back for sure. It must be even better when peaches and berries in season.

Stopped by this beautiful and clean farm shop early in the morning before their 10:00am opening. I believe I was the only shopper but was warmly greeted by staff and invited to crack open one of their giant pecans from an enormous pile. Wonderfully sweet and tasty I immediately picked up a one pound bag of the GIGANTIC halves as well as a bag of chopped. A little pricey but certainly fresh and delicious. The shop also has a huge selection of pickled vegetables as well as different flavored breads but as I was catching a flight out of Atlanta I couldn't find room in my luggage for many extras. Upstairs there's access to a catwalk above their peach sorting and packing area but it was closed until May. I had visited a year or so ago and found the catwalk to be quite interesting. A great stop if you're in the area.

They were revamping the place, so the gift area was empty. The orchards were bare, so was the fruit and but production. We came for dinner and were not disappointed. The fried chicken was delicious. Dessert was my main objective. We loved both the peach and the blueberry cobbler AND both the peach and butter pecan ice cream. YUM YUM YUM!!!! We also bought Gallberry Honey. We can't wait to return, when production is in full swing and the gift shop is redone.

This place is amazing! We stopped here and had lunch and browsed the store and orchards. It was so much fun and tasty. They have everything you can think of with peaches. Also, they have a great selection on oranges, pecans and other southern foods. We ate at the Peachtree Cafe inside and and had some of the peach ice cream..... YUM! Everything was just sooo good. It may be a little out of the way to get to but it is well worth it. I highly recommend checking it out and spending some time to check out/try all the foods. Great place!

Knew nothing about Lane's. Drove by, turned around and had a great experience. Even though it's off season, lots of goodies to try and buy. We did not eat at the restaurant, buy they had lots to choose from. I would have purchased some donuts if they sold some. Had plenty of pies and ice cream. Even purchased some goodies. Definitely worth the stop.

Did you know they make Peach Bread? The first time we lucked upon Lane orchards on a road trip to Florida, we ended up eating the Peach Break all the way down. It was delicious! This time by a happy accident we ended up at Lane again and we got another Loaf plus pecans and Pecan Bread. We can't decide which one we like more. When we go it is not really "in season" but this stop is now on our list of favourites - the staff are great, but the treats are worth the trip. We love Georgia!

I chose to go to Lane with my wife and two girls on a drive home to New England after visiting relatives in Florida hoping to share something Georgia was well known for, peaches and southern hospitality. The place seemed nice (although the factory wasn't running that day). When I went to get some of there peach desert I was truly appalled at the rude staff. I happened to be wearing a Red Sox shirt that day. The staff were giving me rude looks and snickering to each other about me. Then when I was about to be served they made a point of giving the customer in front of me a cheery smile and commenting on how large there small size peach ice cream was. When I also ordered a small I did not get a smile or thank you but a sneer and a small that was barely half the size (if that) of the customer who just ordered. I was so angry I took the small (so as not to disappoint my young kids) but skipped the rest of what I would have ordered. We left shortly there after. This left such a bad impression on me that any time I hear the word Georgia or peach I recount this story about my experience at Lane's even though it happened over 8 years ago. Perhaps to locals they are more "hospitable" but to me they were just plain hostile.

Never disappointed in a visit to Lanes:O) Now visited in all four seasons and always, fun events going on, good food, friendly staff and clean restrooms.

I've been traveling I-75 all my life. We would see the signs and think, oh its just another tourist trap. Well they got me trapped! I dont think that I will ever be able to come back home from Florida without stopping in and getting some peach ice cream. They have a tour you can do but we didnt. we will save that for another trip. They had wine tasting (we even bought a bottle), sit down dining, and shopping. They can make peach anything here. but if you dont like peaches dont worry, they got pecans, apples and alot of other stuff (strawberry and vanilla ice cream too). We were there in late October so it wasnt peach season but they had a festival going on outside and a corn maze. Don't Skip This it's and great place and resting spot.

We discovered Lanes quite by accident, and we're so glad we did. The store is wonderful. Let's start out by saying don't stop in without some of their terrific ice cream. I can still taste it here in Fl. I've never had better. The fruits and veggies are truly farm fresh. We also picked up several jars of jam and jelly. They have a nice bakery and a small restaurant where you can pick up lunch and dessert. It was a real treat to just get off the road for a few minutes and wonder through the store a and sit quietly on the front porch in one of the great rocking chairs they have set out. Don't drive by, stop in for a few minutes. You'll think you've gone back in time. It's a real "Southern" experience.

This is our regularly scheduled stop for peaches! Cider was just ok. Lots of good and gift offerings. Clean restrooms and a playground for the kiddies. Good photo ops on tractors. Have their own bakery and restaurant. Can be a little pricy.

Each time we traveled to Alabama to see our daughter, we made sure that we stopped at Lane Orchard. You must try the Cinnamon Pecan Bread. It is delicious! Also there are many other items that you can purchase. My husband likes the pecan praline syrup-sugar free. Great little pit stop to get a meal as well

This large, clean and fun facility is just five minutes off of I-75 at exit 142 in Fort Valley, Georgia. We have been stopping here for several years to buy their excellent peaches. Now we stop on the way down to pick up large boxes of peaches to take to our family in Florida, and on the way home to take to friends and coworkers in Ohio. Everyone, even people who say they don't like peaches normally, raves about the produce from Lane Southern Orchards. At my office we usually bring taffy back from vacation to share, but when I brought in a bowl of these delectable peaches, there were none left at the end of the day! This is a nice pit stop off of I-75 as well, with clean restrooms, a nice lunch counter (peach cobbler!) and a giftshop. Take the extra 5 minutes it takes to get here and enjoy a little Georgia on your way through!

I recently visited on a business trip. I've always passed the signs on the interstate, but never visited. Wow, this place was a special treat!! Upon entering, I was amazed by the market store full of peach and pecan items. The restaurant staff were friendly and very accommodating. I ordered the Ceasar Salad and added grilled chicken. The presentation was good, the portion was large and the salad was dynamic!!! My colleague ordered the pecan crusted fish, it was delish. Oh, and the peach ice cream is mouth watering. .. I can't wait to visit again!!!

Been here many, many times visiting family. Worth the trip off the interstate if you are traveling on I-75. Play area for kids, good lunch selections, rocking chairs, food souvenirs like peaches, pecans. The desserts and ice cream alone are worth a visit.
