This trail is family friendly and accessible. The trail is paved with old tires and has a guard rail most of the way. It is shady and scenic. You only walk a short distance before you reach the bridge over the falls, which provides splendid views.

We enjoy hiking at Amicalola Falls and this trail does not disappoint. This was an easy trail and very beautiful. I think this is an easy enough trail for most ages. The visitor center staff are very helpful when it comes to the trails so ask them for advise before hiking. Also check out the displays in the visitor center, lots of neat stuff to look at.

Easy softly paved path through hardwoods past old wrecked moonshine runner's trucks to the amazing water falls. Appropriate for any age, wonderful trail that allows everyone access to the beauty of Georgia's mountains! Highly recommended, will return. Stop at the visitor's ranger station for maps, info and wonderful exhibits of local wildlife and history as well as gifts and books.
