I had 2 half off depot vouchers for this business. I tried scheduling the rides, but weather and temperatures did not cooperate. 1 day after my voucher expired I tried to get in touch to see if they would honor it for one more day or at least give me face value. I got a big fat, you're out of luck and out all of your money. Never will do business with these folks.

We love horses and the was an amazing ride. The folks who owned the stables were very kind and friendly. Beautiful horses that were well behaved and taken care of.

I have been on similar trail rides in the mountains. This ride is on private property and then passes into Ft. Mountain State Park property. The trails on this trip were superior to other trails. They were wider and in better shape. I never felt in danger. The horses were super too. The girl who led us seemed competent but didn't really introduce herself or give us much of an orientation. My daughter and I were the fourth and fifth rider and we could not hear anything she was saying along the trail as she pointed out interesting features. On the positive side, I emailed the evening ahead and they were very accomodating on such short notice. We saw two bears during the ride so that was a thrill. I would return but a little training for the staff would go a long way to making the operation more professional.

Very nice ride along a scenic mountain trail in the shade. No fast or terribly trechourous terrain, coupled with a laid back guide.

What a great staff! Three in our group had never ridden prior to this and after a few minutes they had it down. My 6 year old grandson had a fantastic time. Staff paid very special attention to him to relieve his fears. We couldn't wipe the smile off his little face. Had a great time! Nice trail to get out of the heat and some very beautiful scenery. A waterfall that runs from the top to bottom of the mountain. Good Job God!

My boyfriend and I went riding at Fort Mountain Stables today (May of 2013). We had not ridden in a LONG time and were looking forward to it. We drove up the gravel road to the stables which were really clean. After our 1 hour ride, we really needed a restroom which was available (and we were grateful for). We were welcomed by very friendly staff and we signed our little waiver form (we chose not to wear helmets, but they require minors to wear them which I like). We were also greeted by a friendly dog and a few barn cats. Our guide brought out our horses, we saddled up and were off! What BEAUTIFUL scenery! The guide very friendly and knowledgeable. We asked her lots of questions and she gave very thoughtful responses. The horses were friendly and a joy to ride. On our 2 hour ride, we passed by waterfalls, mountain scenery, ferny woods and rocky outlooks. It was just us, the horses and nature - sooo peaceful. After our ride we were able to feed our horses some carrots that we had brought with us. We checked out the other horses and the stables which were all kept in great shape. We tipped our guide and were off to our next adventure. We will definitely be going back someday.

Kinda out in middle of nowhere but worth the drive if you enjoy nature & horses! Was a little pricier than others locally but was only stable that had opening for the day we wanted to ride. The horses were pretty, I would recommend going in AM tho so can have pick of fresh legged horses lol. We were last ride of the day and I felt bad for them. We did 1 1/2 hr ride, think anything more might've been overkill. We had teenage first timers with us so did a beginners trail w no trotting, just some amazing horseback trail riding through the mountains. Great scenery, many waterfalls & old Indian sites plus some cool old school cowboy stuff as well. Would definitely go back but maybe in 2 groups so beginners wouldn't hinder rest of us. If u go, a couple miles north on 411 there's an amazing Italian restaurant called Little Rome... It's a must!
