We went to Ta'Mena for a wine tasting tour and were not disappointed. We had a very relaxed and informal tour around the farm and vineyard stopping off to hear about olive harvesting, wine making and to visit the menagerie of animals ranging from an emu through to pigs and geese. This was followed by wine tasting with traditional gozitan food (the tomato jam was a revelation!) most of which is produced on the farm. We tasted 5 wines, 2 white, 1 rose, and 2 reds, all of which were delicious and were in generous portions whilst listening to how to taste wine and where to find the best. Good value for money for 12 euros each. We ended up buying their olive oil, 3 bottles of their Marsamena and some tomato jam. We will be back on our next visit to Gozo to buy food/wine from their farm shop rather than going to the supermarket,

I arranged a BBQ for a large party as we were in Gozo for our wedding. Very informative and loved every minute of it. Now know what olive oil to buy and to avoid. Joseph was very passionate about his estate and this showed .... Would visit again

We Visited Yesterday in a party of 4, had a lovely time very welcoming. We were shown around the farm and vineyard by the owner and he talked about the produce and the history. Later we sat and had wine tasting and sampled the home made local food. We were made to feel very welcome and was able to try many different wines that have been produced from the vineyard. This was a reasonably priced pleasurable experience! Thank you x

You may be getting bored listen to me go on and on and.... about Ta'mena but let me assure you that when (not if) you visit you will not be bored. We spent Saturday 31st witha group of 50 friends having lunch. While there were two other groups also lunching (so there must have been 100+ altogether) Joe and his wife Marnese were always on hand to assist. Anyone who knows Mr. Spiteri understands Joe wears his heart on his sleeve. He spent time with our group to explain some of the finer points relating to the Estate's produce.then we were back in the evening for the Wine Festival. No need to say more. It was first class. The service and quality of produce are something Joe can rightly be proud of.

We went to Ta'Mena to visit the estate and to lunch : it was a great moment! The estate visit, with animals and vines, shows how the products are made. For lunch, we ate firstly a plate of typical products (all made in the estate) and then some Gozo ravioli (with Gozo cheese and tomato sauce). That was delicious! I totally recommend this place, for the authenticity of people and products. So lovely!

We were recommended to visit by our B&B hosts and it was a very fulfilling experience - from the educational perspective but more so for the wine tasting (7 wines and an apéritif) and delicious food (5 courses). Once you've tried it all you have to buy something - can recommend the rosé wine, sweet tomato paste and the olive oil :)

It is worth while visiting this estate where the owner welcomes you with open arms ! The tasting of excellent wines, olive oil , tomato paste, limoncello and other locally made products, was delicious and interesting to learn about these products. He made this into a great experience !You can buy all the products in a little store on the estate. A must !

Forget for a while the knights of Malta and live yourself an authentic experience in the countryside of the more rural and less inhabited Gozo. We've been happy to discover an excellent olive oil, good choice of white wines from a fruity Vermentino to a barriqued Chardonnay "Enchor" and red ones too of good level. They do make cheese too, dried tomato sauce, sweet tomato sauce and other earthly genuine products. The host is very kind, keen to make you feel good tasting different products they make while she explains a little bit of their farm's history. In a few words, if you like authentic spots - away from chickentourism - this is the place, and the experience their family have in Italy with vineyards is a good add-on. If I'll go back to Malta, I'll definitively visit them again!

If every business tried as hard as this one then they would all be successful! turned up to tour and ended having lunch. Dionysus and Bacchus obviously took their holidays here as the result is sublime with flavours and textures to the wine I hadn't tasted before. sadly they dont export but they do come to shows in the UK so get along and try some you wont want anything else afterwards.

The owner of the vineyard gave us a small, interesting and educational tour. (Small hills, walking distances) The vine, cheese and sausages were ranging from mostly delicious to quite good. The owners small talk around the do`s and do not`s, was quite enjoyable too. Relaxed rural atmosphere. Possibilty of wine purchase afterwards.A few minutes drive from Marsalforn Bay.

Takk for oss!
