I have visited several times when staying with friends in the area. It is a fantastic location and yet another jewel in the crown that makes my National Trust membership worth every penny.Extremely infuriated with all the comments regarding charging for parking. Can anyone really complain about paying £6.50 for a full day out with all the family. How on earth do they expect the buildings and grounds to be maintained and preserved with no contribution from visitors. There are no expectations to buy anything whilst there and bringing your own food is encouraged, in fact this is a sublime place to spread out the picnic rugs and enjoy a leisurely afternoon.Highly recommended for all age groups.

What a beautiful park, we hired electric bikes £15 for 2 hours and went for miles. Hiring the bikes made it possible to cover most of the place which was good. Followed by a visit to Sherwood Forrest :-)

I have not been to Clumber Park for quite a while, despite living fairly local. I thought I would take the kids for a nice walk, and knowing that the main part of Clumber is quite expensive, we would walk the woods on the outskirts which I have done previously.I parked up, and off we went for a walk, it started raining after around 45 minutes so we headed back to the car for me to be apprehended by quite a rude NT attendant in a car.He informed me I needed to cough up £6.80 to park my car where there are no bins and no facilities whatsoever! It is a shame as it is a great place to take the children.I understand the NT needs money to keep the upkeep of the park etc but I feel £6.80 to park outside the main attraction is extortionate! I would happily pay a couple of pounds but this will definitely stop me returning very often...

Nice place for a walk with family and dogs in all weathersBad points £6.50 to park... just hope they service the car for that too!!!andYou can't take dogs in the children's play area, which can be awkward when your on your own with the dog, and the kids want to play on the park.

Lots of Room to explore, always peaceful away from the main carpark area, even when very busy.Good 2nd hand bookshop, though Cafe expensive & toilets not up to usual National trust standards.

Nice family walk in pleaant surroundings. Whatever the weather snow or sun its always a lovely place to visit if its just a walk in the woodland or feed the ducks always nice place. Nice when it snows to see all the kids having fun sledging. It creates lovely family memories that last a life time

Lovely park, plenty of steady walks and somewhere to eat when the walk is over. Particularly attractive during the summer but also a haven during winter. Worth the membership fee on its own.

Took the kids out here during the school holidays. We all really enjoyed ourselves and had a great family day out. Will return again.

This is a great place to visit with children & dogs. There are lots of different routes to go on & on each one you are surrounded by beautiful settings. My favourite walk is round the lake, where there is also a little truck stop style cafe half way round.I am a nation trust member so I get free entry, the fee to park there otherwise is £6.80 for the whole day (I do think that is rather expensive myself)But if you go on a say in the summer and spend the whole day there it really is worth it.

Having visited the park for years i was shocked to now discover you get parking fines. Normally when we visit we stay clear of the main part because its so expensive to park and always busy. We always park on the grass verges near the exit (where there isnt a wooden hut with a man in it for some reason) and have a little walk and never been asked to pay. However yesterday we came back to a notice on the car which said we have to pay £6.80 and they had taken our number plate down because you have to pay no matter where you park. I was angry and upset as nowhere does it state you have to pay to park anywhere on the grounds and for it to just start happening with no signs is out of order. No warning, no signs! I want to know exactly what £6.80 gets you as there where no bins or toilets where we park! Will not be going back

As its on the doorstep ive visited clumber park regularly with my two teenage daughters at all times of the year. There are regular events to go to throughout the year. Great for gentle tranquil walks amongst the trees and wildlife. Litter free and extremely well maintained. Recently refurbished cafe in main block is well used and ok. Plently of spaces throughout park to play ball, cricket, rounders etc. Well worth a visit.

Lovely setting, beautiful acres of woodland for walking, dogs welcome, plenty of parking, good facilities, cafe, shop, activities, inc. cycle hire for rides on safe park land roads. A splendid place for a quick trip or a day long visit.

Clumber Park has something for just about anyone of any age. The atmosphere of the park is one of total peace and tranquillity. A different type of landscape around every corner, wildlife abounds from waterfowl to garden birds and quite a few of the rarer species too. Mammals of all kinds if you are prepared to sit quietly, insects, wild flowers, fungi, trees of virtually every kind, broad leaf and evergreen. For the more energetic there are walks and cycle trails that run to all corners of the park, and beyond if it's not big enough for you. If kicking a ball about is your thing then there are acres of grass ready to play on, an adventure playground to let the kids let off steam.A well stocked café and restaurant, selling all manner of treats is on site and open daily so you can refuel, before you start again.A well stocked gift shop and garden shop selling a wide range of items.

Went with my wife, mum, and two grandsons on Monday and even though it was rainy, we still had a great time. Grandsons age 7&4 took their bike and scooter and had a thoroughly pleasant time going all over. The lady in the discovery centre was very warm and welcoming, talking to the boys and she was genuinely interested in them and suggested they may enjoy making footprints of animals in clay at an afternoon session in there. We had lunch in the cafe and returned to make the footprints, which they thoroughly enjoyed!!!! Just lost one star as the young gentleman serving in the cafe was not very friendly, it doesn't take much to smile!!!!! Otherwise we all love Clumber Park, it is a longtime favourite at any time of the year. We have come for thirty years and love it. The walk round the lake is beautiful at any time and wonderful to spend time with family , always. As National trust members, we don't pay entry fee but it is only a small amount anyway, and definitely worth it and value for money .
