I am not an Opera fan, bit too much screeching in my experience. Never did I think I would be converted but last night I was captivated by La Traviata at Malvern. Despite feeling under the weather we attended the event as it was a birthday gift. What a soprano! Captivating, heart wrenching and just wonderful music doing full justice to Verdi's masterful composition. I am not ashamed to say I sat in awe, Malvern is one of our favourite theatres as it is so intimate, the 80 mile round trip is always worth it. That said, last night was a wonderful musical experiences. Yes a couple of moments of intonation issues but that really is nit picking, the sop and Tenor were wonderful and I was converted.

Why oh why can theatres not sort out the bar crush at the interval? Three different shows, all tipping out into the bar at the same time (i.e. not staggered), means an impossible 'queue' for drinks. The auditorium was stifling (in February) - could not get my daughter a simple drink of tap water - was told to queue at the bar. Can't you put some jugs of tap water and plastic cups out on the tables where people have pre-ordered their drinks? Or get in some extra bar people? It's not rocket science.

We just love Malvern Theatre! You have the old traditional small cosy theatre, and the modern atrium. Staff always friendly and helpful. Have eaten here prior to shows. Whilst not Michelin star, the food is more than adequate, you are not rushed, and we were event able to order our interval drinks and they were on our table waiting for us. Saw Harvey, on Wednesday night. James Dreyfus And Maureen Lipman were superb. A lovely light comedy to entertain you. We are lucky to have such good shows here.

Travelled from Bromsgrove by train to the theatre really convenient. Very pleasantly surprised by the theatre which is situated by a lovely park and also the town centre. The theatre itself has a bar and a bistro restaurant and outdoor seating, and is modern, light and welcoming inside. We saw a matinee performance of Oh what a lovely war and it was excellent, both entertaining and thought provoking - the musical has now moved on to other towns/cities as part of a tour.

Like others have said the actual inside of try theatre is looking a bit dated and run down but I know they've recently refurb the cinema part and this is now really nice so hopefully wont be too long before theatre section gets makeover. That being said they have amazing shows on and close to home for us I always enjoy going.

Love the location of the Theatre and have visited the cinema several times. It has the feel of an old fashioned cinema screen and has a good choice of films. Lovely bar area and enjoyed the display from local photographer that was on display in the foyer area.

Malvern Theatres was the principal draw in making me settle in Malvern. At that time (1998) the programme was less populist and drew heavily on pre-West End shows enjoying their running-in period. Unfortunately, reduction of subsidies, allied to a dumbing down of audiences contingent on the demise of the Radar Research Establishment combined with more than a whiff of inclusivity, has required management to rely quite heavily upon the circuit potboilers. Nevertheless, despite the proximity of Stratford-upon-Avon, there is still much theatre to enjoy at reasonable prices. There is also an excellent cinema with a lively programme of (mostly British) films. But Music has declined. The English Symphony Orchestra is no longer based here and the refurbished Forum theatre is less than acoustically perfect for piano and/or chamber music.

What an excellent production, the cast were superb and the storyline was gripping throughout the play, with quite a few unexpected twists to the plot. The special effects, sets and scenery were truly spectacular. This was my first visit to the Festival Theatre, it certainly won't be my last

We saw Saturday Night Fever here last Friday. The show was good but there was too much swearing in it. We took our 8 year old and it just wasn't suitable.!the theatre should have put some warnings up!

On our way back from the races,as we walked past I popped in to see what was playing, bouncers was just about to start,my wife and I made a snap desicion to go in, not a play I would have sought out to see,But what a treat. Great little cameos, not a boring moment, felt as though I'd spent a night on the door myself.Reminded me of Phoenix nights, complete with a peter Kaye and paddŷ lookalike.Great show, great setting ,thanks Malvern for an entertains night!

I came to the theatre on friday to watch The Levellers. Having never been to the malvern theatre before i was suprised how nice it was, the reception was so light and airy. But the forum theatre felt so dated in comparison. It was comfy enough and the acoustics were fab. I had a fantastic time though and I'd go again.

What a splendid way to spend the first Saturday in 2015. The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra playing the greats of Vienna. As always the theatre organisation was superb. We had an ealy dinner in the Bistro and enjoyed every minute. We enter the draw for the New Year's Day concert in Vienna every year and are never succesful, so this helped us to overcome our disappointment

This was one of the hilarious lines in this year's pantomime Alladdin. We come here most years from Soith Wales and love the event every time. The theatre has great atmosphere, albeit that you do sacrifice a small level of comfort in terms of the seating, but all the facilities are here, and the acoustics are absolutely excellently. Every word is audible. We will definitely be coming again. An enjoyable pantpmoime seems to be guaranteed!
