The place is a real museum, starting with the building, the lighting, the paintings, every single object there is a piece of glamorous history and very well preserved. A dinner in this a rare venue will be and an unforgettable experience.

Located in glorious Sussex countryside- no wonder it is called 'Glorious Goodwood' - this is a reminder of better times and a classier age.On a summer's day no better place to be......there is even a cricket pitch with suitable rural pavilion.

Everything you would imagine ... Glamorous ... Regal ... Steeped in history. If you are lucky enough to have a corporate event here and get to sample the local produce you will absolutely love it.

Was looking forward to visiting Goodwood House. However, although the house itself is very impressive was disappointed with the overall visiting experience. We were given a map of the rooms but had to ask which was the best way to go round the house. The only rooms open to see are on the ground floor. There are leaflets in each room giving some information on the history and items in it. After viewing the house we enquired about the gardens to which we were told there was a guided tour lasting 50 minutes. We said is it possible to view on our own to which we were told yes but would not get to see certain areas. We were not told what areas of the garden were included in the tour and which ones we would not see if did not go on it. We decided to do gardens on our own. There do not appear to be any formal gardens. Although Goodwood House sits in large grounds it is mainly grass and trees. In our opinion there is insufficient signage in the house and in the grounds. Even leaving the car park it did not say which exit to take. We went to go out same way we came in and found there was no exit that way and ended up going out onto an unknown road to us. Very disappointed - one visit was enough would not go again.

NO TATTY made in China stuff here. As a Vintage Shop Owner I was beside myself with the excellence of the stalls, the wonderful original everything. We wished we had come for three days. There's a reconstructed Tesco, airstreams, mobile cinema, St Trinians lookalikes on the merry go round, Laurel & Hardy in a Ford T. A copper on a pushbike - the original pushbike policemen used to use. Girls dressed as the Andrews sisters. And EVERYONE has made the effort and dressed up. first thing I did was go to Bettys Parlour and get my hair done in 1940s rolls then buy a hat to go with it from a lovely vintage clothes stall. i could of shopped for hours, but it is really about the cars and we had Grandstand tickets so off we went to see D TYPE JAGS race around the circuit. The flag waving girls are all dressed in period cat suits and the lap changes are all done buy changing the score boards by hand. No digital here! It is the most wonderful day out and an absolute MUST in life.

First visit to Goodwood Revival and I am hooked. Everything is catered for and there is something for everyone to enjoy, whatever the age. The atmosphere is amazing, the clothes, dressing up ,all in the best possible taste. Loved it. Going back next year, hopefully will be able to get tickets. This time dressed up to the nines. Picnic basket in hand as the Champagne a bit pricey . Great day out or three maybe.

We went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago in the Goodwood House. Goodwood is well known for their annual car events, and the house and other aspects of 12,000 acres of land are often overlooked. We drove up to the house and there was cricket playing in one of the vast fields and lawn games in front of the house for guests to play after the ceremony. We went to an intimate wedding of one of my husband's school friends to an American diplomat's daughter. There were 80 guests there to celebrate the special union of two cultures and countries. Goodwood House was the perfect picturesque setting for this special wedding. The ceremony was held by the bride's brother which made it very special because he has now married both of his siblings and it added a personal touch to the ceremony along with the couple's handwritten vows. After the ceremony drinks and canapés were being served on the lawn of Goodwood House and guests could also partake in a tour of the beautiful House. The wedding breakfast was delicious and more of a fine dining menu rather than typical wedding menus. The food was all locally sourced and some produce from the Goodwood farm. The evening carried on with dancing and a fantastic photo flip book that each guest could dress up in fancy dress and make slow motion movements whilst the camera takes lots of photographs that are then compiled into a book for each guest to take home with them. They also had a variety of tasty evening treats such as mini pizzas, cheese burgers and fish and chips- delicious and much appreciated after the deliciously light three course wedding breakfast. I would recommend this venue for weddings or any other special occasion because the staff were fantastic, the setting stunning and food delicious!

Both my wife and I are full time wheelchair users and we came here for the festival of speed there is a wheelchair viewing place but it was full of mobility scooters with people who can walk and there families. The authorities should restrict these areas to people who are totally reliant on there wheelchairs and not the pseudo cripples that use scooters and there vast entourages.

This visit gave us the opportunity to visit somewhere linked to Waterloo a subject we have been interested in for a while. The place is packed with art treasures of all descriptions and has a very grand tea served in the actual Regency Ballroom. Be warned the afternoon tea options are not cheap. We found the staff of the house to be very approachable and knowledgeable.

Had a really lovely, interesting tour of Goodwood House, followed by a cream tea. The ladies who do the tour guide are so well informed, and at the end you are waited on by first class waiters serving you a substantial cream tea, thank you, enjoyed the experience.

This is about the 5th time we've visited the FoS and it continues to set standards matched only by the Goodwood revival. All era's and genres of the motoring world are represented here, rallying, formula one, classic cars, concours displays, motorbikes, vintage, classic and modern supercars and as a bonus superb air displays, certainly great value considering what's on offer. If you are just a day visitor expect to see about a third of what's here and a couple of tips, a) plan out beforehand what you most want to see - you CAN"T see it all in a day and b) travel light as heavy camera bags and picnic hampers slow you down as the day wears on and in the end inhibits seeing all you want to.Lastly a word of commendation to the support staff, even the hard working car park attendants look like they enjoy their job and are proud to be part of the event.
