Interesting nearly cathedral sized church. Reflects much of history of Ludlow. Wonderful misericord carvings. Possible to climb tower for views

visited this church but it was being prepared for a service, so couldnt really comment fully. what we saw was very interesting, restoration was also in progress so wasnt the best time to visit

As other reviewers have indicated, the Church can easily be missed, which may seem extraordinary, given its prominence. We found it by following the tower. The Church is well worth visiting, not only for the beautiful views from the tower on a clear day, but also for the majesty of the interior. The stained glass windows are particularly impressive, and I loved the enthusiasm and pride of the volunteers who greeted us on arrival. There's no fee to enter but it costs £3 to climb the tower.

At the gift shop get your passport to the tower. Climb the 100 steps to the top and see for miles on a clear day. The building is beautiful inside too and very friendly people are happy to tell you any history of the building. They have lots of current events on and more recently attended the fashion show they hosted.

Beautiful Church, we ambled around the Church. The wooden roof is spectacular I love historic buildings and this was simply beautiful. If you are in Ludlow the Town and Church are definitely worthy of a visit.

Dirty rainy Sunday in Ludlow, happened across the church which despite its size is well hidden. Our welcome from an elderly gentleman straight out of a sitcom like vicar of dibley was warm, funny and wonderfully eccentric. The church is the 2nd largest parish church in England and literally a hidden gem as it is surrounded by other buildings and only the tower is visible from the town. More akin to a cathedral the altar and stained glass were lovely and there is nice shop.Free entry. But donations recommended , £3 to go up tower.

Very warm inside! Beautiful stained glass windows. Lots of information inside about the church which was very useful. A hidden gem which we spotted down a small alleyway.

Lovely church, look out particularly for the misericords in the choir, each is different. The heart of prince aurthur , older brother of Henry 8th is buried here, he died in Ludlow castle..

This is such a beautiful church!Tucked away in the middle of Ludlow it is well worth spending some time there. You really do not have to be a regular churchgoer to enjoy this church.

Must visit for anyone who likes architecture. Its stunning inside. Make sure you make a donation and help the church out. I always like to find a church on a weekend away, sit and think for 5 minutes in peace and quiet. This church is almost cathederal like, very ornate and well worth a visit.

I went here today with my extended family who ranged in age from 2 to 60. The church is welcoming and has a range of interesting notices around about it's history and points of note. You can go up the tower to the very top (as long as you are aged 8 or above) where there are great views all over the town and the adjacent castle. It's £3 per adult and £1 per child (£6 family ticket) to do this, but it's worth it. All in all I think we spent nearly an hour and a half here.

The building itself is beautiful but it also has some marvellous misericords, impressive stained glass and interesting historical connection. Very helpful guides/volunteers.

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful stained glass windows. Not big but interesting to visit especially the connection with The Shropshire Lad and very helpful volunteers. No charge but obviously a donation at the end of your visit is welcomed.
