Excellent facilities for the kids and the restaurant if nice if a little pricey. Lots for the kids to do and some lovely walks down the glen. Take something tasty for the squirrels!

People in Dunfermline do not appreciate this lovely park.Central location, tearoom plenty of walks & the Dunfermline Abbey is on their doorstep.

A great park for the family and pets. Lots of space for the kids and three decent play parks. The peacock restaurant is also quite nice and reasonably priced. Plus it's just off the high street in dunfermline.

Pittencrieff park is a fairly well maintained area with nice gardens, Childs play area, and museum. It is ideal for walks, cycling, running and relaxing. Summer sees picnic goers aplenty. Since the foot and mouth scare though, the Animals have been removed and the paddling pools are also gone. The museum could be better and the child's play area, whilst good, could be better. That said it is an ideal and convenient location for taking the kids on a day out, for exercise or for keen photographers, the nearby abbey can be included to round of a good day

Great big park,has a cafe n a stand for icecream ect.lots of space for a wee adventure wi the kids.Nice gardens,something for everyone everyone.

Had a quick lunch here on Saturday and the staff were very helpful. The nachos were the best we have had for a while, plenty cheese, salsa and sour cream.

This park is sooo nice !! very well preserved ! amazing place to walk through and enjoy the view from dunfermline to the bridges and edinburgh if bright !!

when we were little there was an animal park with monkeys and other exotic animals, an aviary, two huge paddling pools filled in the summer, a wishing pond with koi carp, hot houses with plants and more fish, a maze and two swing parks for the kids and peacocks and squirrels roaming free in the grounds. now there are three swingparks - one is quite good but the other two are run down, the café is a rip off, the animal park is gone and now there is only a peacock and two peahens in an enclosure, the paddling pools are filled in with grass, the maze gone, giant sun dial gone, the glass houses are still there but not up to what they used to be when we were young, much of the pathways have subsided or been covered by landslides and no repair has been done, instead they just cordon and block the area off forevermore. yet they spent millions destroying a perfectly practical traffic system in town instead.

this is a very nice park in the summer, and to feed the squirrels, and there are some nice sitting areas , and just taking your dog for a walk, as i ws thee with ny grandchildren.

park is nice except if you are disabled need assistance , especially going into the pavilion no ramp also the steps are trickly , the animal farm is on a hill wheelchair access is difficult getting through the doors ,

Any time of year is great time to enjoy the park, walks, history, views, café, play park & squirrels!Can be enjoyed on a bike, with kids or dogs!Look out for Malcolm Canmore's tower and William Wallace's well. The play parks are great for kids and they often have events taking place here. Couple of cafe's near the park for afterwards.

Being local I tend to take the Glen for granted but venturing for a walk with grand children we found a beautiful park with superb facilities for children via an adventure park well patronised by locals and visitors I was interesting to read in the local paper that sensors on the gates had recorded 800,000 people visiting this year from January to August making it one of the top attractions in Fife with hot houses and wooded walks along the meandering stream with a back drop of Dunfermline Abbey and The Palace ruins so picturesque and astmospheric with the ruins of Malcolm Canmore's Tower.Take a small bag of peanuts and feed the squirrels .A Steam Engine has been re furbished and is a big draw to young chidren. There is also a small museum which is unfortunately in need of a makeover the exhibits are shoddy and uninteresting. Having said that it is the only downside to a terrific amenity. Ideal for picnics the park is user friendly for young and old . Tip your toes in the water and give it a go you will not regret it

This is a really beautiful park, well suited for a relaxing walk. Not that many attractions, but well laid out. Near Dunfermline Abbey, so a good combination. Lots of squirrels :-)
