This is our first visit here as a family. Although there are signs of age the facilities are really well kept and the staff team are clearly working hard to make it a good experience for everyone. Great flumes and brilliant atmosphere. This place shows you just how good Scotland can be. Really imaginative and clearly designed for the community rather than swimming clubs.A few more signs to get to the venue would be good but guaranteed we will be back.

Having taken my grandchildren and my daughter and wife to the time capsule in Coatbridge, it became very apparent that there was a big hygiene problem in the dressing room area, I immediately contacted a member of staff and told him of the condition of the floors which were disgusting and very slippery he shrugged his shoulders and continued on with his own task which did not appear to be to important.after we came out of the leisure pool we all went into the shower area that also was very dirty and the showers barely working, I got dressed and asked to speak to the duty managar, who duly did come to speak with me I highlighted the faults and he appoligised to me and made the excuse that it was very busy, to which I replied that is not an excuse as I have been in many leisure centre who have managed to keep up with the cleanliness of the dressing rooms, the manager did try to make amends by giving my family a free pass which is a good will gesture however it does not take away the most important issue Peoples health and welfare local authorities have a duty of care to its patrons and must up hold strict cleaning and maintainance procedure's, as it happens my daughter who is pregnant has become in well after our visit and had a ear and viral infection, so heres the thing if you want to visit the time capsule and bearing in mind you are paying a high premium for a family ticket make sure the dressing room floors are clean or you could end up with a infection that you did not bargain for

the last time I was in this place was over 17 years ago until today's visit.whilst the place is still great fun for kids the place needs a bit of an overhaul. Firstly the lack of parent and child areas for changing, even with unisex changing rooms it was extremely cramped with people, staff walking around looking very annoyed. The showers are quite honestly a disgrace, you either get scolding hot water one minute or freezing cold the next, you press the button and you get 2 seconds of water and then you hear loads of noise from the pipes (air lock) so there is a clear maintenance issue.the changing rooms are utterly disgusting, if you look above and see the ceiling you can see it covered in dust. Reception staff all look like they've had a promise from a liar that was how cheery they were.my daughter loved it but the place needs an overhaul especially the showers and changing facilities

this is excellent for any age, so much to do in the water and we had two small non swimmers who found plenty to do but they also let them go down the slide with you, the water is a comfortable temperature and the big bucket that dumps loads of water on everyone is great! Cafe is limited but ok for after a swim and it does have a few healthy options, not the cheapest day out ever for 6 of us but worth every penny, my fiancé is going there for his stag do.

We travelled to the Time Capsule from Kilmarnock as the kids really wanted to come. The first impression wasn't good, we paid £22 for a family of 4, staff need to be trained in customer service- not a please or thank you at all during the transaction. The changing facilities were foul, floor was covered in hair and fluff and diet from people's shoes. Toilets were worse, "stuff" smeared on the toilet doors, dirty sinks. My husband said the gents were blocked up and backed up with urine. The showers were cold and again filthy with dirty floor and mouldy sealant. The kids enjoyed to slides but there were far to many people in there though and they had to wait 20 mins for the slides. The pool temp was cold and I couldn't wait to get out. The changing room I used on leaving stank of urine. North Lanarkshire council should be ashamed of this place it's foul! I already feel ill, no doubt picked up some bug from the poor hygiene in there. When we left I overheard a man asking to speak to a manager regarding the state if the toilets.

Good fun at Ice skating and swimming. Swimming pool is excellent for kids as its all "fun" rather than a pure swimming pool. River Rapids wave machine, water hoses and splash zone. Cafe and soft play center too. Prices reasonable and a great time for family and kids. You can buy combined multi value tickets

Thank you to the two guys who kept helping me up off the ice yesterday! I had brought my own I'll fitting boots and fell 3 times. The staff were really friendly and helpful, giving me advice on what boots to buy etc. I will be back but probably just hire your boots as never had any problems with them! You are well watched and looked after at this ice rink.

What should be an excellent attraction (great flumes, play areas and space) is completely undermined by the worst cleaning standards I have ever witnessed. It smells bad, there is thick grime on every surface and the toilets are gut-wrenchingly minging. Scores of staff around but no-one cleaning; they are just kids who look ashamed to work amid such filth. Couldn't wait to get home for a shower. My kids normally don't notice a bit of dirt but even they were seriously put off.

We travelled 1 hour 40 minutes from home to this indoor water park as we don't have one locally. My daughters (4 & 6) love the water and this on the website seemed perfect. And, it really was a good day out. There were little slides that adults can go on as well. There are lazy river (water rapids- when the wave machine is on), a 'boat' where you can fire water at people (not all of them work), a huge bucket that fills with water and then tips and splashes everyone waiting for it below. A couple of larger slides; both my daughters could go on one (as they are 4 plus) with an adult. Otherwise you have to be 8 yrs old and 120cm to go alone. This slide was great fun for us and the girls. There is another slide we didn't venture on as you have to be 8/120cm and involves a mat and going down in small groups. Looks good fun from a distance. The waves were amazing. Really strong and powerful, again, my daughters loved it. A tiring day for all involved. The DOWNSIDE for me and there are a 1 or 2: very unfriendly woman on the phone when I rang up the morning we went- quite unnecessary for that sort of attitude on the phone for a general enquiry. The whole place desperately needs re-painting, de-moulding and general cleaning. It should be closed for a week to get on top of these things. The queue at the entrance was chaos. The price was very reasonable though and we will definitely go back.

This place reminds me of my child hood problem is its not changed! I did see they are starting to renovate which is great!

Used the waterpark as the small pool was closed. Not been into the main pool for a long time. The changing rooms weren't very clean, the pool itself had things floating in it and no one was taking them out and the showers were terrible (made a horrible noise and as previous reviews the water was very hot even though they were only on for like 5 seconds).

No doubt about it the Time Capsule is a great water experience for kids and families, spend the day in here and you won't be disappointed with the actual water experience .The changing rooms are clean but the showers are a complete disaster! The are far too hot for anyone let alone young kids, they stay on for about 2 seconds and they make so much noise it is clear there is air in the pipes, sounds like a herd of cows when you push the buttonSort your showers out, they are really letting you down!Quite a pricey day out as well

I've not been to the Time Capsule in almost 20 years so wasn't expecting much. From the outside it looks very dated but once inside it is clean and warm. Not the biggest waterpark around but I had a 5 year old and 18 month and it was perfect for them. 5 year old is not a confident swimmer so had to go down the flumes with me but he loved everything else. Spent over two hours in the waterpark.Only downside was the cafe being refurbished and no other options for food but I guess that will change going forward

I took my grandaughter to the adventure pool, she loved it. There was lots to do and different water experiences
missjo1992
It was clean enough a lot of chlorine though. 3 slides and the water tower thing. Good waves and helpful staff. Clean and tidy changing rooms.
