Had a great meal at the restaurant with the most amazing views over the golf course and Ochils. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to us all.

Alloa Golf Club (aka Schawpark) is a nice track in the Stirling area. The course is more than 100 years old and is the design work of famed architect James Braid. Tree lined and relatively easy to walk, Alloa GC is fun to play and still offers plenty of challenge. Members are friendly and the clubhouse lounge is open to golfers and non-golfers alike. Worth a visit.

I visit schawpark a lot with my dad, who is a member of the golf club. A few times I have been the food is always great! Simple but great. Chips and cheese, soup with crusty bread etc. Simple but fantastic food. Can't comment on the golf course but my dad seems to love it.

Ive got to do another review for this place as we have now not just been for a meal here but have now experienced the evening entertainment here as well, - The Old Years Night Party included a very good disco with a chatty DJ who catered for the crowd there with classic danceable tunes rather than just the latest pop music all night. (I done this for living in my twenties so know a good DJ when I see one.) Tasty curries with rice and poppadoms as well as chips and rolls with sausage/bacon for those not into spicy stuff was had mid evening. The new year was then welcomed in by a surprise live Piper and Drummer. And if that was not enough, a second surprise in the letting off, by all of us there, of Chinese Lanterns from the clubs porch, as a toast to absent and lost friends and family, before returning back in for the last final dances. As if that could not be beat, - We'd had such a good night we booked for they're Burns Night as well. Again a fantastic night which included History, Poetry and Humour by some fine speakers as well as Scottish Song and and Piper.. all accompanied by a wonderful Four Course meal. Two great nights full of food and entertainment, all for the price per head of a steak dinner in a pub... Thanks to all the management and staff there for two great nights we are so glad we didn't miss.

I've reviewed this place before but just must do it again, as recent visits, are again, so worthy of a review. To be brief, the food is fantastic, both evening meals and lunchtime snacks, every visit, every meal, and every person I've ever taken agreed. Prices are exceptionally reasonable, again both for meals and snacks. And to add to that, the staff are friendly, the place is immaculate and the location/views are majestic.... It really does tick every box. I really don't think there is a nicer place to eat, for the money, in the Wee County.... Just try it if you haven't already !!!

enjoyed a ruby party in the decent size lounge which can hold 80 comfortably ,used our own music on good sized dance floor ,got in early to decorate hall etc bar staff very helpful .A sit down buffet served upstairs which was excellent .

Upstairs restaurant with a panoramic view of the golf course and Ochil hills..Always good selection of well presented freshly cooked food and salads at very reasonable pricesWe visit the restaurant at least 2times a week,also have had attended may special occasions where the service and food were outstanding.James and Bev and their staff make your visit just right

Chicken goujons starter was lovely. Chicken cajun pasta disappointing. Overpowering spice. Service was average.

The meals at this place are excellent. We usually have the High Teas, (Main meal, toast, tea, coffee and fresh cakes all for one price) but the whole menu is very good and very reasonably priced. IIn the past we've had the Gammon Steak with egg and pineapple, Fish and chips, Steak Pie and veg and the Haggis,neeps & tatties, and all, I mean ALL, have not just been good, but excellent...Every time as soon as our meal is served, we all ask, "Why dont we come here more often??" being on our doorstep...The views, if light enough, are stunning, as the restaurant location is elevated over the club house and offers panoramic views of the golf course and the Ochil hills... If you live in the area, you must try it, I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

I played this course for the first time on the 3/9/12 and then again with an office outing on the 6/9/12. It is one of the most beautiful courses I have played, sweeping fairways surrounded by the ochil hills, and a great variety of holes. Everyone was so friendly, the pro in the shop, the staff in the clubhouse and the various members that I chatted to. The catering was excellent. I will definitely be back, and would recommend it for a great days golf.

We went along one evening for a meal and the food and setting were fantastic. There were four of us and the food and service could not be faulted, there were only another two tables of two in and this appeared a great shame considering the quality of the food, the setting and the price. Well worth a visit - and if you have a big appetite try the mixed grill!!

all the regulars you would expect on the menu but a few extra specials make it really interesting and well worth a visit - great value and excellent food

Excellent food and even better staff :) Great place for a light lunch or an excellent evening meal....plus the prtions are HUUUUGE :)

The course represents a fine challenge to low and high handicappers, with tight fairways and blind holes. The course is relatively flat and meanders over the back of Sauchie near Alloa. Known as Schawepark after the original owners of the estate, the course is well maintained with lovely greens, a very good and helpful pro shop and a grand family restaurant.

just had a round at alloa after a two year absence and, my my, have things improved. the fairways and greens were a joy to behold especially after the atrocious winter. the greens staff and convener should be thanked for the improvements they have made since my visit. I still believe the view from the first tee is one of the finest in Scottish golf.
