If you want to walk where J J Astor and Molly Brown did - this is a must. This was the tender ship which took passengers to the Titanic in Cherbourg, and it's been beautifully restored to its glory in 1912. Lots of original features are still there, including the bar where first class passengers would have ordered drinks. Lovely staff too - Ginny was an excellent guide and was full of loads of info. Brilliant visit.

If you like historians a good photo opportunity then head down to see the SS Nomadic. Proud to have this ship docked at the titanic quarter. Brought the family down and they absolutely loved it!

We were very pleased to board Nomadic as part of our walking tour of the Titanic quarter. Well worth visiting the ship since you are getting full of historical information. Do not miss this.

The tour of the SS Nomadic was a lot more than we had expected. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us insight into what it was like to travel back in those days. Well worth taking a couple of hours to view.

loved the fact that this was the actual tender ship to the titanic and it has a fair few original features. You can walk around and compare the 1st, 2nd and 3rd class areas. Plenty for kids to do, dressing up, games, interactive screens etc.

We visited on as wet and cold day. It was a delight. The ship is lovingly restored and the tour guide clearly loved the ship and was animated and very proud while telling us about it. This ship is a gem, very close to the titanic exhibition, but very real and interesting.

Gail was a wonderful tour guide! Our children ages 4, 9 & 11 loved the tour and dressing up as the captain and crew! Our oldest son loves ships and this was wonderful plus the games the kids can play and interaction during the tour. We had to make our son stop playing and listening to the demos outside to go on the tour. Our children had to be made to leave the ship to make our planned Titanic Museum workshop across the street at the Titanic Museum. The kids also can steer the ship too! We really enjoyed the experience! Thanks Gail!Michelle, USA & Switzerland

The problem with any exhibition on the Titanic is that the ship itself cannot actually be visited (obviously!) so going round the Nomadic is certainly the next best thing because it was used as a tender taking passengers from Cherbourg Harbour to the ill-fated liner. Although the Nomadic has had a varied and colourful history since 1912, it has retained a substantial number of original features, all of which were carefully explained by our guide. Restoring this ship was clearly a labour of love, and a tour provides some new insights into the history of the Titanic and the White Star Line.

Extremely interesting piece of history! Well worth a visit and would recommend the guided tour. Thanks to Ginny.

Easy to find, appropriately close to the Titanic museum. A real success story, for there is so much more to the SS Nomadic than meets the eye. Clearly the SS Nomadic is well loved by the tour guides. The exhibits are well presented, the information good, even dressing up is offered; a lot of thought has gone into the presentation here. The tour guides are knowledgeable, if perhaps a little too exuberant on occasion!

Although overshadowed by the Titanic Experience, this is not to be missed. Looks average from the outside but this is a great tour and the guides are very informative. Can easily do in 2 hours so you can do the titanic and nomadic in one day.

My daughter and I visited SS Nomadic on Saturday 21st Feb. We arrived 10 minutes before the next tour so had plenty of time to purchase tickets in the pump house and to read the available information outside.Nobody else turned up for the tour so we had a 'private' tour with Laura who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour took us all over the ship from the ladies powder room in first class to the mail room (which doubled up as third class) and explained the changes the ship had seen over the years. After the tour we were allowed to stay on board the ship for as long as we wanted and explore on our own, which we did. All of the information available was very interesting and relevant. Although my daughter was a bit old for the interactive displays, I imagine they would keep younger entertained suitably well.It felt surreal that we were standing (and sometimes sitting) in places where the unfortunate passengers of the Titanic had once stood/sat as well as other famous well known people.Overall it was a nice relaxed visit and they even have a small tea room with refreshments, if desired.I would certainly recommend a visit here either in conjunction with the Titanic Belfast attraction or on its own.

When visiting Titanic Quarter don't miss the "little sister". Nomadic is well worth a visit. Our guide Laura made history come alive. Nomadic's story is full of ups and downs, twists and turns amazing that it survived it all. Beautifully restored. After the tour you are free to stay on and look at all the interactive exhibitions.

Everything about Nomadic from the ship itself to the level of the restoration work to the information and interactive displays are fantastic, but the highlight for us was our guide (Laura), whose enthusiasm and obvious passion for the Nomadic really set the ship alive for us.
