My girlfriend and I took a trip up from Dublin, and we were the only two there that day. We went out with Paul and Danny for a 3.5 hour hack which was fantastic!! Got to take a nice lunch break and Paul was helpful and gave me tips on how to be a better rider (I'm only an advanced beginner). We are from the USA, and this was one of the most beautiful places I have been, and the ponies were so well behaved and beautiful. It was truly magical and I recommend this place to any and all interested in a day out on horseback. Worth the train and cab rides up there for the sights and friendly people! Thank you Paul and Danny so much for the excellent day!!

Took kids to the christmas experience at Sheans horse farm. It was fantastic. We met mrs clause and had a ride up the mountain on the santa express. We seen santas runway and post office. After we seen lots of animals. We met the big man himself. Santa and his elfs sang happy birthday to my daughter. It was amazing. We then had hot chocolate and cookies followed by a little ice skating. It was the perfect santa experience. Only down side I had was my batteries died on my camera and I didn't get a picture of kids with santa. Would be great to have the option to buy a photo. Couldn't fault the staff. All very happy and pleasent. Thanks for a great time :-)

Two of us went on a hack with maggie, both experienced riders which allowed us to do all things including gallop! Great time and good fun with good conversation the whole way round and great horses!!

We had a wonderful time today - in fact my very first time on a horse. My girlfriend booked a 3 hour picnic trip, and I have to be honest - I was considerably nervous about the thought of getting on a horse (for the first time). Everyone at Sheans were very friendly, and their horses perfectly trained. Kevin was a great guide who always had our horses under control and made us feel safe and very well taken care of. I would have never expected to say this, but I'm very much looking forward to coming back and doing this again!

Danny, Mags and co provided another magical day out at Sheans Horse farm. Great relaxed organisation and as always horses were matched perfectly. If you're in North Antrim don't miss the chance to visit. Ian Blair

Today I had a nice 3h picnic trail hack with Sheans Horse Farm. Even it was quite cloudy and foggy the view on top of the mountain was amazing and would, with a clear view, surely be unique. The stuff was very friendly. The only thing I can complain about was the muddy part where we had to walk: very wet and horse and i sunk into the mud quite deep. And it would have been great, to return on another trail than the one we rode up (to have a loop). our trail offered walk, a few trots and nice canter. very enjoyable. the view is definitely a highlight here, all the green hills with grazing sheeps and horses: like you would imagine it. on top of the mountain you absolutely have a 360 panoramic view, which i enjoyed a lot. thank you for a lovely afternoon.

I have been to Shean's several times during this past summer and the hours drive is definitely worth it! We have been led on different occasions by Aine, Aidan, Donal and Danny and everyone has been fantastic in ensuring we have had a safe and exhilarating day. Would definitely recommend a nice leisurely trek to enjoy the scenery or the Sunday morning hack for clearing those cobwebs and more recently the birthday picnic which was fab!! Many thanks Samantha, Sharon and Alex.

Just returned this evening from trekking with my son (13) my sister and her son (12). We did the Kilcroagh Trek 70 mins (£17). We had super day, beautiful scenery and great banter by staff.I would be nervous having little experience horse riding but my horse "Archie" put me at ease very well behaved and quiet!Staff give you basic instructions on how to handle your horse and keep close eye during the trek. On return to the stables we did some trotting and "around the world" fun. Great attraction to have right on our doorstep my son already asking when he can go again. Check out the Facebook page too. Definitely be back.

A friend and I went on an hours hack at Sheans last week and absolutely loved it! Everything about the place is great... The scenery, the horses, the staff. We had two great horses and were well looked after from start to finish. We had our own boots etc but this was all available if you needed it. The hack took in walking, trotting and cantering through some of Northern Ireland's most beautiful surroundings. (Bring a camera for some of the views!) My friend hadn't ridden in a few years and the staff were so helpful and reassuring. No matter what your needs or ability, they will accommodate it! Thank you for an amazing hack, we will definitely be back!

My daughter and I have just returned from a walk, trot, canter hack at Shean's. We had a fantastic time led by Danny. The horses were all safe and responsive and we even had a short gallop which we loved. We will return and also recommend you to friends. Wendy and Lee

A group of three adults and two children visited Sheans on Sunday afternoon we all had a lovely day with fantastic guides as none of us had ever been on a horse before. A massive thanks to Danny and his team for an excellent adventure. We will most definitely be back but will have a longer session. Views were spectacular.

i took my daughter and two friends to Shaens for a hack. This was our third visit and we will be back again. There is nothing in NI like the Sheans experience, they are unique in Northern Ireland and it is more than worth a visit.Danny and his team are second to none for friendliness and they really take time to get to know your ability and make sure you have a fantastic riding experience, you will be made to feel so welcome by these warm, lovely people, which is rare for a lot of equestrian places. Whether you are a novice or advanced rider there is something special for you and you can canter, gallop, cross rivers, climb hills , you can trek quietly up the mountain and take in breathtaking views, you can be led , no matter what you want in horse riding Danny will accomodate you and you will not be disappointed - I promise you. Give it a try, you'll be hooked and you'll be back. Thanks you for a wonderful hack.

A friend and I recently spent an afternoon at Sheans. My friend is a very experienced rider but I'm a total novice. They were very good at catering to our different needs and making sure we both enjoyed ourselves. We got to join in with a larger tour group which meant we got a lot more riding time than we'd paid for (no complaints there!). We enjoyed the 'picnic ride' which meant we got a break part way through the day to stop and eat. During this time we walked up onto a high hill so we got an excellent 360 view of the countryside and an excellent photo opportunity. Overall it was a brilliant day, and I highly recommend it to anyone at any skill level of horse riding.
