This is a lovely area to stay or visit. Just wandering around the streets is immensely fascinating. There are lots of small shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. But just soaking up the atmosphere here is the best fun. Everyone is so friendly.. On a Sunday there is a big clothes market. Considering that this area has only been developed since 1980s there is still a lot to do but it is so colourful.

Part of a tour or a short walk from the Square. All the photos you have seen are right here very prominent and a humbling experience. Try to eat here as the food while not my taste its the proper cooking and just sitting or walking around here can bring a tear to you eyes.

Interesting to walk around the area soaking up the atmosphere and visiting the sights this area has to offer. Nice little individual shops.

We stayed up here in the David boutique hotel for 4 nights and it was the perfect base for our break away. There was so many places of interest to see, so many fabulous bars and places to eat also. Yes, the area does look a little run down and there is some graffiti, but please do not let that put you off visiting this atmospheric area - live a little- visit some amazing bars- eat lots of fabulous food- and save some time for a little sight seeing as well. Perfect place to stay and I will be back. P.s. We did walk in to market area (10/15 mins tops) and back in the evening and never once questioned our safety x

There are signs everywhere encouraging Jews to stay in Krakow and on arrival in the Jewish District, you will quickly understand why the city desperately wants to hang on to and increase their Jewish demographic. This is one of the most atmospheric and classy areas of Eastern Europe. No effort was spared in creating the romantic streets, the stylish churches and synagogues. The choice of restaurant is amazing, with lots of small bars and clubs for all tastes. I would recommend spending at least 2 whole days in this district. It far outshines the city market area.

I dont really know what i was expecting as i walked around the jewish district...i felt that having done so i found an area with graffitti all over it and a general run down area that in my mind was just abandoned..I got a feeling of yeah i can imagine the German army mooching around these streets as the buildings still look run down but surely a sense of pride would force you to remove the recent graffitti at least? Its a arc back to times gone by and maybe thats the whole point i just came away thinking they could do more in that area to help themselves now a days instead of leaving it looking like a run down place no one would ever go if it was in a city near you...shame.

An ideal venue for a leisurely tour. I would advise employing a guide, they an be sourced via the excellent free tour facility outside the main church or the golf cart type carriages for which charges vairy ,negotiate/haggle but enjoy

If your lucky enough to be in Krakow you must visit Kazimierz. It is a lovely area and it houses some of the best restaurants and bars in Krakow.

Spent most of the day in this district, which is filled with ancient Jewish sights and great restaurants and cafes. Most welcoming to tourists and only 15 minutes walk for center of Krakow.well worth a visit...including some of the older cemeteries. A real old Eastern European feel to the place, can be viewed on lots of level from historical, cultural to just relaxing good food and drink.
