We found this place extremely interesting, even though we didn't have enough of time to visit all of the attractions - park happened to be much bigger then we expected! Tickets are a little bit expensive, but the visit worth it! Plus, I guess this place is perfect for children, to make them interested in biology.

I visited Terra Botanica in 2012 and 2014. Both times a pleasure. So much to do, you can easily spent a whole day. We brought our own sandwiches and ate them in a secluded place. I actually did not know you were not allowed. Entrance is a bit expensive, but worth it!

You really do need a whole day to visit Terra Botanica properly. The park is divided up into several different areas, each one with a theme, and each one is well worth visiting in detail. Wear a good pair of shoes, because there's a lot of walking. The whole park is based on ecological principles : Nature, wind, water...and should surprise you by its diversity. There are flowers, bushes and trees everywhere, of course, and there are a lot of varied activities for children, who can learn as they "play". What's more, you "travel" far and wide as you wander round. You can take a picknick in with you or if you don't want to carry the weight, there are refreshments on the spot. However, I don't really reccommend themthe fast food restaurant.

Was given a morning at the park. Not at all interested in plants however as a65 year old kid found plenty to do and realy enjoyed myself. Not enough time so did not see everything.Only let down was the food, the French can do better than this for mass catering.Staff throughout the park helpful, cheerful and bilingual.Would revisit and spend more time .

As a party of 4 adults we found this attraction quite interesting and spent a good 5 hours walking through the various sections. Not great gardeners I suppose we weren't expecting the exotic species that another reviewer founding missing. We went into all the 'shows' and each time were welcomed and shown the English versions. The 4d show was good fun!We even did the walnut tree top ride, great fun!We weren't aware that picnics aren't allowed and duly packed our lunch in our rucksacks including small bottles of beer.We clearly weren't the only people doing this as we found an area where there were at least 20-30 people doing the same so my suggestion would be try your luck!I suppose it made it that the weather was glorious and sunny so walking around was lovely. For the price 19.5euros each for an adult it's worth a go!

Not quite sure who this attraction is aimed at. Some lovely specimen plants, but not really rare enough or enough variety to interest a serious gardener. Then there are the rides. These are very tame and older children would be bored, but smaller children are not allowed on quite a few of themDon't eat at the restaurant whatever you do- the food was disgusting. If you are in the area go to a chateau and enjoy the gardens there instead!

Pleasant, undemanding, well run. No issues with taking our own food in ( as another reviewer had) and many attractions in France seem quite pricey so this was actually good value. Very wheelchair/ pushchair friendly although quite a big area to cover. Probably helps if you like plants, lot of information also in English; they ran one of the shows in English for us as we were the only people in it. Probably more educational fun than FUN but I thought it was a good day out.

A fantastic day out for all the family: beautiful, and interesting, surroundings; fun activities for children; lots of space; good 'fast' food which included a vegetarian option. We'll definitely be back!

A great day out but you really need a couple of days to take it all in at leisure.Only one gripe - the new M1 feature for 2014 doesn't make clear that they do Amazon in the mornings and Voyage to the heart of the plant in the afternoons so if you are planning to see them both you have to go twice rather than just sit there hoping that one followed the other. There is no-where that we could find that explains this. The lady did say that if we really wanted to see it she woukd run it through for us but it was getting late and we had to gat back.

Complete disappointment. Not really sure what's the purpose of this park. On the map it was full of attractions, once there most of them were just nice names on basically nothing (I thought I had missed some of them at the beginning but then I realized I had just walked through them without realizing I was in one of the attractions). For instance, three of the cinema/theater ones (highlighted as some of the top in the park) were very basic animations of under 10 minuts each (which now explains why they could say the shows where running continuously every 10 minutes :-) ).I couldn´t go to the new 4D Cinema so maybe that one is good. Anyway, there´s nothing there that justifies going and paying 20 euros. Just don´t go.

Refused entry with a cool bag containing our food, been before and the catering was poor, apart from that good day out,. You now have to leave your food in their facility and return and exit the park to eat in the picnic area, I wouldn't like to try doing that on a busy day as the tables etc. are limited. Not very convenient if you have people with limited mobility, and I did note that several groups had managed to smuggle their own lunch in to the park. Tip use a backpack not an obvious cool box or bag.

What a lovely way to introduce children to the world of plants. Things for both adults and children to enjoy. It Is quite expensive to visit, so worth planning to spend the full day. You could take a picnic to keep costs down, but the on-site refreshments were good and not too pricey.Ok too for people who don't speak French. The staff speak some English and can offer some of the shows in an English version... Just ask.

My wife and I visited in October, probably not the best time to visit but there was much to see and do. On the do front although a garden there was plenty to entertain youngsters we both committed on just what a great place it would be for a visit with small children. The gardens are nicely laid out and took us about 6 hours to complete but the park wasn't particularly busy including a stop for lunch. As special note of thanks to Grenadine (I think that was her name) one of the staff who dressed as pixie took great delight in pointing out a frog to us in French. realising that we were English broke into English and we spent a good while talking to her about the gardens, its construction and her role. It seems that she is one of a number employed to interact with visitors, offering advice and assistance. A great idea which works well.I'm sure if you like gardening/gardens then you will have a great time.

Great place to visit and plenty to see. Enormous amount of plants to view .Plenty for the children to do so they do not get bored and refreshments available on site

We had a great day out at Terra Botanica, visiting all the areas. I especially enjoyed the boat trip, and the old shop areas which explained the source of all our food products. Then to see the "potager" with all the fruit and veg growing. We also had a great lunch. We went on the tram but car parking is also spacious and near the main gate. Lots to amuse children too.
