What a breath of fresh air-a tasting of a half dozen Wiiliam Fevre wines with a friendly explanation, complete with soil samples of the terroir and topographic vineyard map, and FREE! What a pleasant experience! I know and like Fevre wines, and this gave them a new dimension. I did the right thing and bought several half bottles to enjoy during our stay, at reasonable prices. Tres bien! You acn also have a real nice meal at the Bistrot de la Grand Caves right next door. A perfect taste of Chablis!

...in an very old French chateau. All wines tasted here were of the Chablis varietal and were tasty indeed. The staff did an excellent tour in English and we enjoyed the best part...wine tasting at the end.The grounds are beautiful & worth the drive.

Might have been good if the guy working bothered to speak to us when we came in to taste and buy some Chablis wine, but all he did was to turn the price list presenter on counter towards us! Quite surprising as I was speaking French to my wife and English to my friends. After 3 minutes I decided I'd rather go to a small winery in beines and give them my money for their bottles! So walked out said goodbye and still didn't get a reaction, maybe they earn enough money without having to be welcoming?

Two thousand or so years ago, the Romans entered Chablis, a place already populated by local people, and planted vines in some of the best soil in France. After centuries of invasions, wars, religious order control, depression, drought, floods, pests and neglect, Chablis emerged with wines which are world renowned. The eons of ancient geology and the centuries of deep passion that have shaped Chablis are evident in the subtle understated and yet extremely sophisticated wine. The layer upon layer of history have made a visually romantic town; suffused with a brooding sense of expectancy and peopled by an elegant cosmopolitan population. What is Chablis and the complexity of its many parts has ultimately been beautifully refined into a sublime wine made by the William Fevre winery. Our experience was further enhanced by matching their product with an enchanting meal from their Bistro. The food was carefully crafted in the French style and redolent of the herbs and flavours of the immediate locality. We were swept away by the standard of service and the commitment to delivering the French experience, that even strangers to wine and gourmet food could not help be awed by.The longer you stay in Chablis the more intriguing and complex it becomes and as the layers peel away you inveigle yourself into the whole story of centuries in a wine glass, filled with eons of secrets to be lovingly and longly sipped.

Try lots, good staff, affordable, widely available in the US but way cheaper in the tasting room. Open on sunday which virtually no others are in burgundy.

A must visit if near Chablis. The wine is fantastic and the tasting bar is one of the best to visit.

We tasted so many wines that it became hard to keep track of which was which! The man leading our tasting was very friendly and seemed like he really enjoyed his job, which made our experience better. Many options available for purchase, and a good spread of prices for many budgets.

the staff really took their time to explain different vintages and let us taste a nice selection. atmosphere was relaxed, not rushed and good advice vs commercial. very pleasant stop over and great wines!

I had lImited time in Chablis and, although tourist season, most places we're closed (French)I ventured in here by chance an it was great. I'm not a wine buff all I know is I like it or I don't ..... So it was great to have someone explain the differences between areas and why they taste different The lady here ( was English) was brilliant and I tasted several wines of the same vintage but from different areasI was able to work out what I liked and from which areaI didn't think it really mattered before but now I know what to look forIf your a Punter like me, go here and even the odds!!!!!!!!!

Me and my fiancee were very well received here. The lady that attended us had answers for all ours questions, never got irritated and tried her best to make us capable of visualizing the geography of Chablis wineyards. The tasting conducted there was also very informative. I would definitely recommend a visit to this store and only gave 4 points instead of five because I believe there are better price/quality relations wines to buy in this region.

Alain and his staff will offer some of the best Chablis for tasting in the area. We have visited six times and are always well taken care of. Set up a cellar tour in advance if you can. The grounds and cellar are very pretty. Stay next door at L'Hosterllerie des Clos and have a great meal and sleep.

To my taste its the best. From the petit Chablis to the Grand Cru it just keeps getting better.
