We had two half-day tours and one full day tour with Laure in Sancerre/Pouilly-Fume. Laure was a very good guide. She is very informative. She worked with me to schedule tastings at specific wineries that I was interested in based on my research, as well as, coming with great suggestions. She follow-up on consistently before we arrived to go over questions that I had regarding our three day tour with her. She has a great relationships with a lot of the local winemakers, which gives her greater access to their facilities. We learned a lot from her regarding the region, various appellations, soil types and what characteristics to look for in different wines. The experience was very educational and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend booking her as a guide.

I did two (2) three hour tours with Laure and each tour was exceptional and different. She is friendly, engaging, informative and interesting. Her passion for the wine and land of the area is palpable and authentic. She is hands on - we trudged into the middle of vineyards to watch the workers pruning the vines, smelled the soil and rocks, descended into wine cellars for tastings from the barrels, drove on Roman roads, visited a cheese maker for an amazing little finish to our wine tour day and saw castles tucked into groves that only locals would know to point out. If you want to know about the Sancerre or Pouilly-Fume AOCs, put Laure on your list. Spending time with her is money and time well spent! Also, if you are working on your French, she will do the tour in French for you and help you with your grammar - you can't beat that.

Laure is a perfect tour guide, with encyclopedic knowledge of wine in general, and especially passionate about Loire Valley appellations. This tour can be fun for wine "nerds" and novices alike. She took as to the best vintage points around Sancerre and Poilly Fume, and also explained history, wine making processes. Over a course of the day we managed 4-5 wine tastings, cheese tasting in Chavignol, and a delicious lunch with local food in between. We highly recommend Laure and Vinitour, as it was a highlight of our trip to France and Spain this fall.

Our party of 8 on a Locaboat canal trip had the pleasure of a wine (and cheese) tour with Laure of Vintour.Laure was very helpful and knowledgable - the area and weather were magnificent. We had a little difficulty with the wines - even the Pinot Noir fans were a little disappointed and the other wine type Sauvignon Blanc also left us a little underwhelmed initially. Not to be discouraged, Laure found us several Whites and 3 reds that well and truly overcame our initial concerns. We all appreciated the differences in style with French wine, but it took a very wise and experienced guide to find us wines that bridged the gap between our initial experience in the area and our expectations. The cheeses were excellent, and we thoroughly recommend Vinitour for those fortunate enough to spend time in this beautiful region of France.Philip L

Laura is a young, entrepreneurial, highly knowledgeable guide with a passion for the wines of her region that she makes no attempt to disguise. She picked four of us up from our base in Briare and took us first to Sancerre (this was not on her tour itinerary however as we had visiting friends who we wanted to see it Laura readily agreed to take us) and then around several vinyards and a winery before finishing at a local Goats Cheese outlet. Sadly we have now returned to UK for the winter however we shall return in the spring at which point we intend to book Laura again to visit Pouilly Fume.We would readily and heartily recommend Laura and Vinitours!

We were a party of six traveling on a Le Boat canal trip. A great trip in its own right. One of our ports of call was Sancerre. Unfortunately our weather was quite ordinary for most of the trip. Our trip was brightened up with our trip with Laure our to the wine country of Sancerre. Laure was very entertaining and well informed with her knowledge of cheese and wines; a must do trip. We enjoyed it so much that we went on a half day trip with Laure to the city of Bourges. This was another interesting tour, lots of history and landmarks. so if you are in the area give Vinitour a call, you will not be disappointed.Sid S from Australia

My husband and I have done 3 tours now with Laure of Vinitour. She is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We visited some vineyards to learn about the vines and vineyard management and then visited wine rooms to taste wine. We highly recommend a trip to the Sancerre region to anyone visiting France and booking a tour with Vinitour will give a unique appreciation for the region and its wonderful wines.

The four of us booked a wine tour with Laure in Sancerre. We cannot say enough great things about her! She was knowledgeable, friendly and funny and her English was excellent! Our 3 hour tour was the highlight of our trip and we strongly recommend it to anyone travelling there. It's not cheap, but you won't regret it - it's worth every penny.

We shared our tour with a group of Americans and as they were wine enthusiasts too we had a great time. Laure knows her stuff and she made the tour interesting to everyone in our group. We visited Sancerre and tasted wines that I had never tried before. My hubby loves his wine and knows a great deal so for him she imparted extra knowledge and could answer his questions. We tasted cheese from the region too, which was interesting. Worth the price.

. . . after doing a 3 hour wine and cheese tour with Laure of Vinitours was that I wasn't there longer to do some of the other trips she offered.I found Laure to be insightful, articulate and also inventive. Why inventive? Her tour was not a standard trip to a few vineyards to taste some wines. Far from it.She also offers tours as long or short as you want and is totally flexible which is good when you are on holiday and time is limited.. We were inducted into the terroir, the types of grapes and why they grew where they did, driven right up to the vines so we could walk amongst them and also see different aspects of the many fantastic views to be had from in and around Sancerre.I felt we were very privileged too to be taken into a quite unique winery and be shown the complete process of vinification. Laure then conducted a tutored tasting of a good range of wines. We did have the opportunity to buy but were not forced into it in anyway. Then we were whisked off to taste goat cheese in Chavignol and learn about the history and present processes of cheese making.Laure delivered us back to our boat in Menetreol after first having detoured to enable us to buy an inner tube for our bike. Now that IS service.Oh and I did have a second regret - and that was not having a big enough car to buy more wines to bring home.

My husband and I are wine enthusiasts who regularly recruit guides to show us a new wine area. Laura is impressive. She has a qualification from a top wine university, and was the Director of Pouilly-Fume's wine museum. Accordingly she has vast knowledge of wines and terroir. In addition, she has great connections amongst the Vintners across the Upper Loire. We toured with Laura for 2 days - Sancerre, Menetou-Salon and Pouilly-Fume. We were sad to leave her - as she had become a friend!

I live in a region where we depend on tourism and I know a bit about guides and their methods. I felt that Laura was on our side and adapted well to our needs. She speaks good English and knows her subject well. Despite the rain, we still had a good tour.

Me and my wife went for a Wine and goat farm guided visit. It was really interesting, and the guide (Laure) had very good knowlege of the subject as well as the region, the people and the way that Wine and cheese making is carried out. It was also a very personal guidence, meaning speaking to varios local people. We have been visiting many other wine regions in France, and Sancerre is for sure one of the best. The reason is that you really feel that the Wine industry is important and do influence the life very much. All from a number of wine tractors at the roads to enourmous wine fields, shops etc. A place well worth visiting, and the guide tour is really worth the time and price. /Hans and Maria

My husband, myself and friends took an afternoon tour with Laure. It was the best wine tour we have done. Laure knows her subject and is passionate about others knowing and understanding wine. We learned so much from Laure in just one afternoon. We would do another tour with Laure and we are recommending her to our friends.
