In place of the castle destroyed during the Thirty Years' War, the owner of the House of Liechtenstein attempted in the late 17th century to build a square palace with a courtyard in the middle. It ought to be the most beautiful palace in Moravia. Due to disagreements in the family, lack of money and decision-making without detailed knowledge of the terrain (without visiting the place!), the project was carried out only in a small part. This explains the very unusual location of the object as well as its rare proportions.
