From the shop on the ground floor you go down into the cellars where you can see the process of making the olive oils and the ancient stone cisterns where it is stored. We went with Jackie from Puglia Holiday Rentals and she introduced us to charming Vincenzo who gave us an informative and passionate talk and video about the history and the traditional ways making of the oils. I never knew how much there is to discover! We had a great tasting and learned how the different flavours can be used with hot or cold foods. It was hard to choose which to bring home as they were all so differnt and delicious. A great afternoon.

We visited L'Acropoli di Puglia while staying in Martina Franca in Feb 2015. Vincenzo, the owner, treated us to a private informal tour and video showing the process of making his wonderful cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. It was a fascinating experience from hearing first hand about the age-old process, handed down over the years from generation to generation, to seeing the beautiful old machinery and huge grinding stones, the underground storage vault, to tasting the deliciousend product. Another wonderful Puglian experience - not to be missed. Grazie Vincenzo.. Multo Bene!

Fantastic Olive Oils, shown and explained with true family pride. (And there is no doubt the family Lucarelli should proud of their fine products). We had a case of assorted oils sent home to Oregon! The niece and nephew will each get a bottle for X-mas, but the rest is mine, mine, mine! Vincenzo is full of information and enjoys what he does. I heartily recommend a visit whenever you're in or around Martina Franca.

We stayed in Martina Franca for a couple of days in May and found a small olive oil shop just off the main square. The lady in the shop spoke English and was extremely helpful and friendly. We bought a small quantity of olive oil and balsamic vinegar from her but were limited by weight for our return flight. We used the oilve oil when we got home and i have to say that it adds an additional dimension and complexity to dishes. Even keeping the olive oil for special dishes we soon ran out. Fortunately I found the website address on the back of the container and made contact with L'Acropoli di Puglia in October. I had a little bit of difficulty completing the transaction online through the website so I sent an email asking for assistance. Vincenso wrote back and was able to arrange shipping at a reasonable cost. I am now re-stocked and enjoying a broader range of olive oils. I would highly recommend using this olive oil - you can taste the difference from the stuff you buy in the supermarket.

My husband and I visited this oliver oil mill L'Acropli di Pugli" during our trip to the Puglia area at the end of September, through the arrangement of a company called "Discovery Puglia", The owner, Mr. Vincenzo, did every effort to accomodate into our schedule by opening his mill and shop to us even on a Sunday, the day they normally close. We were treated as royals by Mr. Vincenzo, who speaks excellant English, and who showed us the detailed processes of how the real extra virgin oliver oil was pressed and made. We not only learned how the oliver oil were made, but also learned the right ways to taste the differences among 4 different oliver oil, and we completed our tasting with the wonderful balasmic vinergar and red wines they produced! The experience of tasting the geniue oliver oil among the oliver oil country is definitely a once-a-life-time experience for us, this trip away from the over-crowded tourist places in teh quite and peaceful southeast of Italy is certainly the highlight of our Italian trip! Mr. Vincenzo is a very young, talented, warm, kind, and friendly professional. He knows his business. The friendly manners he approached to us touched us at the moment we entered into his place. When he learned that it's our guide's first time to be at his place when we were ready to leave, he walked us all to the town center. Even further more, after we returned home in USA, he kept contact with us asking about our trip and how the oil we ordered and asked him to help sending to China! - when he learned that my families still had not received those oil, he started to contact the Italian shipping company every day and kept us in the loop of the whereabout, until my families in China confirmed the receipt. What extra miles he walked! He was working his tireless efforts in making sure that we not only enjoyed his fantastic oliver oil, enjoyed our trip in Puglia, but also he would make sure his oliver oil would reach my families in China as well! - I would recommend everyone to visit his oliver oil place !

I love making Italian food and have been struggling to find a great olive oil. Actually, I needed two, one for cooking, and one for dipping. Anyway, I found L'Acropoli di Puglia thanks to Trip Advisor. We were in Brindisi for only one day on a cruise. Rather than do a packaged shore excursion, we rented a car and booked our own appointments. I sent an email to make a reservation and Vincenzo replied right away to confirm. Then, I had to change the time, no problem, Vincenzo was very accommodating and friendly and gave great directions to get there. We met another couple on board the ship who thought our plan was good so we invited them to come with. I emailed Vincenzo we have two more, no problem. He is prompt and professional in his replies. His English is fantastic. much better than my Italian. :) Then, we were late because the rental car counter line moved slower than anything I had ever seen. He was still sweet. He gave the four of us a great tour and tasting in English and explained the process of making olive oil. it was really interesting. My husband was fascinated by the process and is still telling everyone he now knows what extra virgin olive oil means. Vincenzo's passion for making excellent olive oil is evident. He taught us how to taste, which is harder than it sounds but we all got it. They sell the olive oil in the US, which is one reason I wanted to try it. I bought 2 tins there but when they run out, I can easily get a replacement. The tins made it home on the airplane no problem. Vincenzo also taught us how to cook with it! I have already made two sauces since our return two weeks ago. I used to use a bunch of herbs to make a dipping sauce but now we just use their "Amabile" to dip bread in and it is fabulous. I thought their prices were extremely reasonable given that I have spent 4X the price for ¼ of the quantity for a far inferior bottle. This was such a highlight for us and we all enjoyed our visit with Vincenzo. He was entertaining, and funny, and very friendly. I highly recommend a visit. And I highly recommend their "Florido" for all-purpose cooking. It's very nice. Their Amiable is sublime on it's own. They have others to try as well depending on your taste and your use. We tried four olive oils in total, and 2 balsamic vinegars, and they have a white and red wine as well. We bought a bottle of their red wine, which was quite nice. We had just bought balsamic elsewhere or we would have gotten theirs. Everything was very high quality. They also have cosmetic products that I wish I had spent more time on but we were running late. Just go! You won't regret it and your palate will thank you!

I visited there a few years ago. The location of Martina Franca was just excellent to make you enough relaxed and even laid back. This totally Olive Oil seller and factory lets you have remarkable experience. Kind staff members will guide you from A to Z of pure olive oil and its unique history. What make big difference from other olive oil makers is that there sells aged oils. You do not usually age olive oils but this seller lets olive oil sleep for 6 months, 12months and 2 years. You just taste it and see the difference. Mr. Vincenzo the head of L'Acropli di Puglia,I am sure, will show you south Italian reality of Olive oil.

I lived in Apuglia for two years and finding this fantastic place still remains one of the highlights of my experience. Not only are the products fantastic, but the warm and friendly treatment by the owners always left me smiling at the end of a visit. When I moved away, I brought 6 liters of oil with me....it's difficult to use any other oil....nothing is as good. I highly recommend a visit...you will fall in love with the product and the people. It's quintessential Puglia.

I visited "L'acropoli di Puglia" in August this year and I have to admit that is one of the coolest places where I have ever been. The owner is friendly and competent and he tried to make his best to make our visit a great experience. Their olive oil is just amazing and tasting the different qualities has been a delicious gourmet trip. Because it was difficult to bring with us too many bottles they arranged the delivery to our door. If you are close to itria valley you shouldn't miss it!

A personal touch to the visit of this family owned olive oil manufacturer. An interestig tour of the facilities and then some tasting of olive oil, vinegar, and wine(!). Products of highest quality which we appreciated and also got some insights on what to look for in order to get truly high quality olive oil. The visit and tasiting took us approx 2 hours as we asked many questions and spent some time shopping the products at the end. Much effort was made to make our 2,5 year old son enjoy this visit too with toys, crayons etc. Good proficiency of English made this visit very enjoyable for us and I recommend visiting if you are interested in olive oil.

We visited L'Acropoli di Puglia at the end of our day trip to Martina Franca with our two 3-year old and 6-year old children. I thought this would be a short visit to see the olive mill hence was very surprised when Vincenzo, the owner took time to give us a personal tour and explanation of the entire olive oil making process. It was truly educational: we love olive oil and don't use any other oil in the kitchen except extra virgin olive oil and truffle oil but still we learnt a great deal more about olive oil and its quality differentiation. The tour was engaging even for our young children who enjoyed this visit more than walking around Martina Franca. At the end of the tour, we got to sample all the different types of olive oil made here - these were so delicious that our children emptied everything in the sampling cups. We also sampled an amazing Balsamic vinegar. This visit was the highlight of our trip to Martina Franca, hence I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area. Thank you Vincenzo for your hospitality and generosity, especially towards our children!

It's not easy to start to talk about L'Acropoli di Puglia. Why? Because I wouldn't have enough words to describe my feelings and impression after visiting L'Acropoli di Puglia. This place is so impressive, magnificent, attractive with it's unique and different taste of olive oil and absolutely amazing wine. I was amazed by people that works in L'Acropoli di Puglia. As soon as you walk in- you will be met by the nicest and most pleasure people, you will feel how much hard work, love and passion Lucarella's family gives to this place. My biggest thank you to Vincenzo of amazing and unforgettable tour, your hospitality, the most delicious olive oil and wine tasting. Thank you for the opportunity to touch of olive oil making traditions that you are so passionate about and thank you for the warmest memories about L'Acropoli di Puglia that I brought back home with me.The biggest hug to all your family. Grazie mille alla famiglia di Lucarella per il inkantenvuele posto e bella giornataMilana Maliaukaite (Lithuania/Dublin)

Thank you Vincenzo for your hospitality and such an amazing experience. We arrived late on Easter Saturday and were disappointed to find L'Acropoli looked closed. We knocked and were surprised to be treated to a personal tour of the oil making process by Vincenzo's brother, which was fascinating. Vincenzo then gave us a tasting and it really was some of the most delicious olive oil we've tasted. Highly recommend this stop to anyone travelling through the area.

It is a fantastic place, where you can feel the history and tradition of extra virgin olive oil making at its top quality, the pride of a family tradition and have a great time. You will love visiting the frantoio and Vincenzo's friendly and passionate attitude, but mostly will discover the best oil you could find anywhere. Have fun! Lucio

We found L'Acropoli online before our trip and inquired about a visit because we saw that we could get the oil here in the states. So I emailed Vincenzo and he responded immediately. We set up a visit to tour the facilities and taste their oil. Our visit, tour and tasting was truly a highlight of our two week trip to Italy. And the olive oil is unlike any we've bought in the US (even the oil that claims to be 100% Italian). We shipped back bottles and will continue to use their oil. Grazie for a lovely time!!
